APC replies PDP over “semi-literate, jackboot” comment against Buhari

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has described the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as a Janus-faced bumbling party for engaging in a serial mudslinging against the APC and its leaders, especially in the aftermath of its hugely successful national convention in which Muhammadu Buhari was elected as the APC’s presidential candidate.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said the same PDP that has been preaching issues-based electioneering campaign has done nothing but mudslinging against the person of Mr. Buhari, his running mate, Yemi Osinbajo, our leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu and indeed the entire APC.

It said the spokespersons for President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP, apparently stung into a stupor by the rancour-free emergence of the party’s candidates for the 2015 general elections and the overwhelmingly positive reactions from Nigerians, have thrown caution and decency to the wind by their crude, rude and rambling statements.

”What is issues-based in calling Gen. Buhari a ‘semi-literate jackboot as the PDP’s National Secretary Wale Oladipo has incautiously said? Where arehttp://www.nigerianeye.com/2014/12/jonathan-highly-focused-phd-holder-is.html the issues in the pejorative reference to Prof. Osinbajo as an ‘acolyte’ of Tinubu, or in describing Tinubu himself as a puppeteer, as the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh has said in the most vitriolic and irresponsible statement that can ever be issued by the spokesman of a ruling party anywhere?

”Where are the issues contained in the statement by the serial bumbler and gormandizer called Doyin Okupe, who regards Mr. Buhari’s refusal to enrich himself from the public till as a vice rather than a virtue? Why would a ruling party go after the jugular of the opposition simply because it took its time in choosing its presidential running mate, especially since it did not run foul of any electoral law in doing so?

”The truth is that the Jonathan Presidency and the PDP have no issues to canvass during the electioneering campaign for the 2015 general elections because they have wasted the mandate given to them by Nigerians on the altar of unprecedented corruption, incomprehensible incompetence and cluelessness and perhaps the worst leadership ever inflicted on our country,” APC said.

The party expressed delight that Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to respond to the PDP and its barbarians, especially in the social media.

”Had these philistines been monitoring the reactions of Nigerians to the capricious comments they have been making against the person of Mr. Buhari and his party, they would have desisted. But then, they need to impress their paymasters. It seems the more they pour invective on our leaders and our party, the bigger their pay.

We wish them luck in their ludicrous pursuit and shadow chasing,” it said.
APC assured Nigerians that its campaign for next year’s elections would be based on how the party plans to restore hope to the forlorn citizens, who have been taken for a ride by the government they voted into power, how Nigeria can be made great again and how the comatose economy can be resuscitated, for the benefit of all, rather than a few fat cats.

”We are delighted at the increasing level of political awareness among Nigerians and their engagement in the political scene. We believe Nigerians are more interested in what the candidates for next year’s elections can offer rather than on how much mudslinging they can dish out. In the end, Nigerians, who are the real masters, will spot the difference!” the party said.

  1. With President Jonathan's PhD, he failed the country woefully. One would even wonder if the man has a genuine Certificate.
Buhari is not new to ruling Nigeria. He ruled successfully before greedy man toppled him.

  4. I think the electioneering campaigns should be based on issues. Mud slinging, name calling and blackmail will not solve the problems at hand. The PDP, if they are sure of the programmes they have to offer Nigerians, should desist from this lowly attitude meant for charlatans! If Jonathan's minders want to justify their pay, they should do it constructively. They need not shout themselves hoarse dishing out empty promises as empty barrels make the loudest noises.

  5. Why Buhari Shouldn't Become Nigeria's President!
    1. He was among the military officers that dissolved the first democratically elected president in Nigeria and failed to return the power to a civilian president until he was removed via palace coup. 1 year is enough to hand over to civilian, but he gripped power and got removed because he is a religious fanatics who was brainwashed to go to Mecca Saudi Arabia to answer to his Arab religious leaders!
    2. Buhari chair-led a northern military secret and cold-blood killing of Igbo soldiers in Lagos barrack to pave way for the northern bloody counter-coup of 1966 that led to the brutal killing of first Nigeria's military head of state, Maj. Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi in Ibadan.
    3. After that coup and civil war broke out, Buhari was among the soldiers that led Nigerian army to Port-Harcourt to kill and maim lives in Biafra with the support of Britain. Buhari and his men killed Biafran children, raped women and did all sorts of evil.
    4. Buhari lost presidential election in 2011, which every Nigerian saw koro-koro that Goodluck won without any rigging or mago-mago, but instead of Buhari to accept his fate and plan for another time, he became bitter, angry, hate filled his heart and he decided to join hands with Islamic extremists; Boko Haram to destabilize Goodluck Jonathan's regime so that Nigerians and the international society will condemn Goodluck like they are doing and say he isn't leading Nigeria well, which its true to an extent, but just to pave way for him to become the president in 2015!
Unfortunately, Nigerians being so gullible and blind are dancing to Buhari's tone of devilish music.
    5. Buhari comes from APC, a very corrupt party full of evil, corrupt, dangerous, callous men parading themselves as agents of change, how?
APC = Tinubu = Corruption, so how then do we expect corruption to fight corruption?
All APC members are past corrupt leaders: Atiku, Amaechi, Tinubu, Saraki, just name them. Now the question is: will Buhari throw Tinubu, Atiku, Amaechi, Saraki, Rochas, El Rufai, etc to jail if he becomes president Of course NO! Why? Because they are his sponsors and strong party members.
    6. When FG under Goodluck Jonathan wanted to negotiate with Boko Haram and offer them amnesty after wide criticisms from northern political elites, who did Boko Haram recommend as their mediator and spokesperson Of course Boko Haram named Buhari to be the mediator between them and FG, which means Boko Haram are loyal to General Buhari, which means Buhari has a hand in Boko Haram either as a sympathizer, a patron or secret admirer who secretly believes in the Jihad war Boko Haram claim they are fighting.
    7. When Goodluck via Gen. Iherijirika Rtd. Launched a mass offensive against Boko Haram to the extent Boko Haram started fleeing to Chad, Niger, what did Buhari and El Rufai said That FG should stop killing his people! That a war on Boko Haram is a war against the north! He incited northerners against President Goodluck and Gen. Ihejirika, and Goodluck being a simple and listening President, listened to their complaints and retired Ihejirika and brought a Northerner and Boko began to wax stronger again.
Now, the start to scream- Goodluck is clueless. Bunch of blood-sucking hypocrites!!
Vote wisely Nigerians and stop being brainwashed by blood sucking desperate, power-hungry politicians because all Nigerians, especially the south (Igbo, Middle Belt, Yoruba Christians and Niger Delta) will regret voting Buhari and his power-hungry masters in, if at all APC wins in 2015!
I want to use this opportunity to warn all Igbos, Niger Deltans, Yoruba Christians living in northern Nigeria to use this Christmas period and go back to their various home states or any other safer state before February 14 because I foresee mass killing of South people by northerners after the election which Buhari has already lost!
He always choose some gullible-Yoruba Pastors as his running mates to deceive Nigerians from his secret agenda and hate for Christians.
Wicked men!! God will pay you all!

    1. MUMU, you might be right that GMB has hidden agenda well, let's see this agenda first maybe is good or bad. But atleast have seen that of GEJ which is very very bad agenda. Fool, which agenda will you take? The secret of GMB which is either good or bad or the open of GEJ which is very very bad.

    2. Trying not to sound like a tribalistic but a historian. An ibo man led the first coup killing mainly hausa politicians and officers. GMB as an officer in the Nigerian army only did his duty in a civil war same way Ojukwus army killed federal soldiers in the war. So far, GEJ has not declared his assets and I'll gotten wealth, we know what GMB has.. Nothing to hide. GEJ is clueless about governance has they do not address topical issues that matters to nation building except to insult and charade the opposition. They are scared of change and the fact that Nigerians are asking questions... 1billion to feed the presidents household in our budget, increase in cost of living, over 40million jobless graduates, high cost of fuel, contract staffing even for those with jobs, God father's and man know man to get the few available ones, terrible power supply and roads yet you say we have good transformational government. Who is deceiving who here. Call a spare a spare, Goodwick has failed his nation. He is clueless about the state of the nation and not mindful of the dearth in our land. Sending soldiers to fight without weapons.. Who does that. Let his work speak for him. The president that honours thieves and even pardons corrupt politicians. Let another man lead us first. If he is bad, time will tell and we impeach or vote him out. That's the beauty of democracy. Good luck has failed his exam, let the next person lead. We would have presidential debates again,. I hope he attends this time with other candidates and not ask for questions before hand so he can ask abati and co to teach him how to respond or even go and do debate alone as he did d last time. Nigerians don't forget...

  7. Buhari who is an illiterate and a cattle rearer of Fulani extract, who only knows how flog cows cannot be better than a zoologist like GEJ. His military reign told the whole history, which made it difficult to have nothing good to tell he has achieved or did for nigeria. No good report in lib of Nigerians of Buahri ruling in the past.

    1. People are always delighted to tell d story of the Buhari-Idiagbon regime. Where for the first time, Nigeria face corruption with vigour until the corrupt ones in the military overthrew them in a couple. It seems you love the corrupt trend in the country and prefer it to continue under a president that paralysed EFCC
