Kano Governor and All Progressive Congress presidential hopeful, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso took a swipe on the political activities of Ijaw national leader, chief Edwin Clark saying he has grown senile.
Kwankwaso in an interactive session with Reporters in his office, weekend stated that Clark conscious effort to ostracised and severe the age long political relationship between the North and the south South was a product of ‘a tired brain on reverse gear’.
The APC presidential hopeful noted that the Ijaw leader has lost his pan Nigerian toga to old age, stressing that he used to be a good man when he was younger
According to Kwankwaso “Edwin Clark and others, people who should know better are now doing the wrong thing. But before now when he was younger, he was a good man. Now he is over 97 years, and he is fighting and destroying, but we will always forgive him because we know when one is close to a hundred years the brain will embrace reverse gear..I think his act has do with senility”
The outspoken Kano Governor lamented that “this part of the country has always been very friendly with the South South. It is only this group of people who came and spoilt everything.”
He noted that the North is lucky to have “people like Ameachi, Oshiomole and other leaders that are bringing us back together again. While the godfathers there , people like Edwin Clark and others, people who should know”
Kwankwaso said that a huge population of people from south south felt more secured in Kano than their native home, adding that the security problem has snowball to national malaise
“Do not think that it is only In the north that we have security problem there are security problems in the South South and the South East. There are so many people from the South South, South West and South east that are living in Kano and they call Kano their home.”, Kwankwaso stressed.
The Kano strongman explains “recently I met a man at the Airport on my way to kano and asked him where he was going and he said he was going home (that is kano) and he is an Ibo man and I say that is what I wanted to hear from him. I was so happy that he called Kano his home . We have so many of them , they go to Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt and come back here because despite security challenges in the north, we are still safer. “
kwankwaso said “if you go and stay there, they will Kidnap you or steal you or Armed robbers will come and rob you in the house, in the shop or at home”.
He noted that despite several billions of naira accrued to the South South from federation account it has not impact on the life of ordinary citizens. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteYes, talk is cheap! and we've had enough of it.
ReplyDeleteyou call yourselves north and called them south south instead of simple south.......divide and rule tactics. If they put discord among South, they will stand as one north and have more political advantage to win and loot money from the oil in south out of Nigeria like the way their predecessors Abacha, IBB and co did. The money Abacha and IBB looted would give Nigeria steady power supply but they were only interested to become the wealthiest men in with public funds.
