Some prominent Nigerians of minority extraction under the leadership of a Former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the Governors of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States and replace them with military administrators.
They said this was the only way the government could wage war against the Boko Haram insurgency in the affected states.
Besides, they added that full-scale state of emergency regime was needed in other to bring an end to the reign of terror in the troubled states in the North-East.
The decision of the elders who were operating under a political platform of the Congress for Equality and Change was reached at the end of a National Executive Committee meeting which took place at the Asokoro residence of Clark in Abuja on Tuesday.
The group explained that it was only a full-scale State of emergency in the affected states and the appointment of military administrators to take charge of affairs in those areas that would bring an end to intractable activities of the insurgents.
In addition, it called on the Nigerian Armed Forces to adopt more effective tactics aimed at curtailing and ending the activities of the insurgents and to preserve its image and dignity. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

This old empty barrel should go and rest. Clarke single handedly confused his kindergarten president to believe that Boko Haram was formed by northern leaders to thwart this administration. That is the genesis of government's insincerity about the whole issue. Tell us what state of emergency has achieved in the north east. The old wicked fool must be mentally demented to be calling for military rule. Clarke has shown so much hatred to the extent that we in the north east believe that he won't mind all of us dead so far as his kindergarten will return as president. Jonathan has failed us by sacrificing us for his inordinate ambition. We need change.

ReplyDeleteIt's really true that useful brain cells die with age! Why did this old idiot not suggest milads sent to his state when his organized militants were rampaging the Niger Delta? Up to this moment, his state is notorious for kidnapping and oil theft, illegal bunkering and refining of our crude.

One thing i am dead sure of: the blood of the innocent wont ever go unpunished!!! if not in this life, the next!
