Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, is amongst the five nominees for BBC’s African Footballer of the Year award.
Enyeama is nominated alongside Yaya Toure, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Yacine Brahimi and Gervinho
While this season has not seen the best of starts for Nigeria’s number one stopper, last season was one of his best in Europe.
He kept 21 clean sheets for his French club Lille and was also instrumental in Nigeria reaching the last 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The winner will be decided by votes from soccer fans, with voting closing on November 24.
