The Senate Minority Leader, George Akume, has said that the All Progressives Congress would defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party during the 2015 general elections.
Akume, who is representing Benue North-West in the senate, said the PDP’s failure had endeared APC to Nigerians.
The Senate Minority Leader, who spoke in Makurdi while being presented with his expression of interest form at the APC secretariat to seek election for the third time, flayed the Benue State Governor, Chief Gabriel Suswam, for owing civil servants for four months.
He said, “The people are daily yearning for change and that change can only be realised if the APC is elected.
“It is sad that the PDP-led government in Benue State owes four months’ salaries and the administration must be sent packing in 2015.”
According to him, the Presidency lacks the political will to contain the Boko Haram insurgency ravaging the country.
Akume said, “We are told even by the international communities that Nigeria has one of the best security establishments in the world. So, why is the PDP failing to provide adequate security for Nigerians?” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
