A former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has again lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party’s-led Federal Government for bringing untold hardship on Nigerians through its ineffective policies.
The presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, who reviewed the parlous state of the economy and insecurity in the nation, said Nigeria was sick under PDP.
He spoke on Saturday at the inauguration of a 32-bed hospital built by a member, representing the Ekiti Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bimbo Daramola.
Answering questions from journalists, Atiku said, “Certainly, Nigeria is not healthy. When you look at the economy and insecurity in the country, you will know that certainly, Nigeria is not healthy.
“The only thing that can salvage Nigeria’s situation is to seize the opportunity to bring about a change by voting in the APC.”
The Turakin-Adamawa also said it was “irresponsible” for the PDP to ask the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, to resign from his position for defecting from the party to the APC.
The Joan Taiwo Daramola Memorial Hospital, Ire-Ekiti, with fully automated laboratory and well-equipped diagnostic centre, is to be run by the Anglican Church that owns and runs Ile Abiye Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
Daramola said he built the hospital as a way of giving back to the people for entrusting him with their mandate in the House of Representatives.
Atiku, who commended the initiative, advised the Ekiti people not to mortgage their future for a bag of rice. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteAm not comfortable with this Atiku. He was in PDP for 14years out of 16years of PDP's existence, and he could not change the party's way of doing things. He is certainly one of the people who have impoverished Nigerians. If APC should give him their flag to fly, the party will lose my vote and that of my extended family members.

ReplyDeleteAtiku, u were one of them. U were deputy to Obasanjo for 8 years. U didnt do anything to better the lot of Nigerians but urself, family, friends and cohorts. Ur administration at the time just like subsequent ones has done nothing for the populace.
ReplyDeleteAll of u are just career politicians earning ridiculous wages with nothing left for the masses. PDP, APC, etc there is no politician with the intention of effecting any change in this country but seeking power and ridiculous salaries. No one wants to change the status quo or prepare to sacrifice their excessive comfort and benefits for the people.
This is the case all over Africa.
