Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he has no plan to leave the All Progressives Congress.
He said in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday that those carrying the rumours that he would dump the party after its presidential primary were not being sincere.
The former Vice President who is a front runner among the party’s presidential aspirant therefore asked Nigerians to disregard any publication alleging that he would leave the party for either the Labour Party or the Peoples Democratic Movement.
He said he had traced the person behind the rumour to an unnamed member of the APC from the North-East zone, who he said was working for another presidential aspirant from the opposition party.
The statement said, “This information is not only egregiously false, but our investigations have traced it to a senior APC member from the North-East zone, who is working to further the presidential ambitions of another aspirant within the party.
“He is also known to be working with certain elements in the Peoples Democratic Party.
“Sadly, The Atiku Media Office has over the past few months had to issue a number of rejoinders against falsehoods published by the newspapers.
“We, hereby, advise the public to completely disregard any information about Atiku Abubakar on this matter.”
It will be recalled that the former Vice President had stated in a meeting with stakeholders in the media in Lagos last month that the APC is his “final bus stop”.
Abubakar said, that proclamation still stands as he “does not intend to leave the APC for the PDM or any other party.”
While saying that he believes in the ‘Change’ message of the APC, he said that the opposition party believes that the party was the force that would enable Nigerians to vote the PDP out of power come 2015.
According to him, ” He believes that APC is progress. This change and progress that Nigerians hope for will include a media which can be relied upon to provide the public with factual, unbiased information–without being swayed by the unscrupulous dictates of anyone who can afford to pay for their services.
“This message of change is consistent with Atiku Abubakar’s campaign slogan: ‘A Nigeria for All’.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

We will vote Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and PDP candidates to Power in 2015.
ReplyDeleteThere is no truth that ever comes out of PDP. They have turned out many liers and looters. Atiku is a product of PDP. For you to be a member of the Party you must be ready to prostitute. PDP is the master of the act.
DeleteThank for clearing the air once again sir.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is a
hatchet man's ploy to stifle your bid for APC's flag by the mischievous Pdp who
are bent on rubbishing the Turaki's candidature for GMB who they believe will be an easy nut for the Pdp to crack not forgetting that he has already lost elections to GEJ severally.
Sorry to disappoint them because Atiku is going to where and his flag will fly high in the APC, Which he has described as home and his final bus stop.
#ANigeriaForAll.
Another pdp's/Buharist mischievous job that has failed to achieve it earn. Shame pdp!
