Kano state governor and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso on Wednesday said President Goodluck Jonathan is the easiest president to unseat.
In an interview with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital after his arrival for the APC governors’ meeting, he stated that the country is not being well governed.
He said insecurity, corruption, religious and ethnic cleavages had taken centre stage in Nigerian politics.
Kwankwaso who is currently Kano State governor said Nigeria needs good leadership at all levels of government.
He added that it is necessary to have in 2015 a leader who will instill discipline and demonstrate the capacity to effect needed changes in the polity and national governance.
He also said he was not intimidated by other APC president aspirants such as a former Head of State, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) and a former Vice President, Alhaji Abubabakar Atiku.
He stated that the APC will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party in 2015 general elections.
Kwankwaso said, “Jonathan is the easiest president to unseat. Many people are not happy. There is pervading poverty in the land and insecurity is another factor.
“As I speak with you some people are on the hills, in the forest, under mountains taking refuge; they are internally displaced. On Monday we sent six trucks of relief materials to our people in refuge camps in Niger Republic.
“Unfortunately we have leaders in this country who have divided the county along religious and ethnic lines. All other countries are making progress but here we are being fed with statistics that cannot be verified. I think Jonathan should be happy if we unseat him because it will help him to go and rest.
“Change is possible once you get the right agent of change. What has happened in Kano state for instance has never happened and what made it possible was that the people had a new governor in 2011; it was that simple. We need people who are disciplined in Nigeria; people who mean what they say and stick to it.” raves over this.
“But in any case I have said it before that PDP will rule for only 16 years and that 16 years will lapse by May 2015. They will pack out by 2015 and that is it.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

story for the Gods, shut up your smelling mouth aboki, u better start digging ur own grave bcos
ReplyDeletecome 2015 GEJ will still remain on that seat, if APC lik combine all the thieves in ur party 2gather
he will still win.
Thats bc u dont ve parents no wife & children to cater for. U are all along just a thug with no future & pple that cares.
DeleteU are a big fool try and bring back ur senses. Pdp people are corrupt we need a change u are saying rubbish
DeleteSo if APC wins via these usual suspects of northerners how do they think the South south people that fill thief ungrateful bellies feel? Surely it will not be business as usual. Notherners are being fed for nothing whilst they insult the south that feeds them.
ReplyDeleteI concur with the gvrnor, GEJ is weak! We need a credible leader come 2015.
ReplyDeleteMark.
Correct. Please we need this change. For this govt is only statistics no reality.
ReplyDeleteAmong all the emerging aspirants, including you Kwankwaso, GEJ is still the best. You people invited Boko Harams to cause commotion in the country because of your selfish ambition.
ReplyDeleteJonathan brought bokoharam
DeleteBOKO HARAM was there before Jonathan became President. Go and study history.
DeletePls somebody should explain to me why politicians will be against each other when it comes to how to deceive us to vote for them but they are usually united as friends when it comes to how to loot our public funds in the name of inflated contracts, oil deals, juicy positions etc
ReplyDeleteI sincerely think you politicians need to learn how to respect other people's opinion. GEJ is and may still remain the choice of some or many Nigerian citizens. You must learn to allow the ballot do its job. If GEJ is a weak and poor leader and majority of Nigerians preferred him through a valid election, you must learn to live with it,if we are truly tending towards civilization, then we must also learn to realise that our personal opinion remains personal until a forum of collation of different opinions like an election is instituted. Most of you who think you must thread on the path of slander and assassination of character to mount the podium of governance, need to realise that respect is a reciprocal attitude.
ReplyDeleteWhen you speak of the President of the federal republic, you forget that it is not just the person that occupied the position but the position itself. You disregard the electorate that voted him if you fail to respect him & as such do not merit any respect and consideration from them in return.
You may wish to realise that the extreme nature of campaigns adopted by the opposition is working right against them. Take it easy.
Unseating GEJ without going thru credible elections will bring something worse than Boko haram. You (the northerners)may just be underestimating the rest of the regions, especially the south. You may be in for a big surprise. Don't let the Biafran war deceive you.
ReplyDeleteKwankwaso of recent has displayed bitterness and anger in his quest to get political relevance, on so many occasions, he has abused and used derogatory language on the president of the federal republic of Nigeria including sweeping the grounds he stepped on in Kano, a highest form of disrespect to the president.
ReplyDeletein my view, he has abused the whole of Nigeria consistently with this his attitude, lets wait and see how he can dislodge the president and take over the Government.
Kwankwaso, beware of who you under rate
