The immediate-past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole on Wednesday lost his daughter, Yewande Semiat Bankole .
A statement made available to newsmen, yesterday, by the family stated that the late Yewande was the grand daughter of Chief Alani Suara Bankole, aged 6.
It was also disclosed that Yewande was a sickler and that she was a radiant girl who struggled with the disease originally managed at a Lagos hospital but later transferred to a London hospital where she eventually died.
“With gratitude to Almighty Allah and with heavy hearts we announce the demise of our daughter Yewande Semiat Bankole aged 6 years, at St Marys Children’s Hospital, London on October 1, 2014,” the statement said. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
