The Presidency on Thursday said its longstanding view that the agenda of the #BringBackOurGirls campaigners was confirmed on Wednesday with the presence of the movement’s leaders at the presidential declaration of Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, made the Presidency’s position known on his Twitter handle.

Buhari had at the Eagles Square, Abuja on Wednesday formally declared his intention to contest the 2015 presidential elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
But Abati said the roles played by an activist, Dino Melaye, and the presence of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign initiator, Hadiza Bala Usman, at the declaration were proofs of their true aim, which is to politicise the abduction of the more than 200 Chibok girls.
He wrote, “Our longstanding view of BBOG movement’s hidden agenda to unseat the Jonathan administration received full justification yesterday (on Wednesday.)
“Roles played by Dino Melaye and the presence of BBOG’s initiator, Hadiza Bala Usman at Buhari’s declaration is proof of the true aim of politicising the agony of the Chibok girls and their families.
“This is now fully apparent, the true agenda and prime movers of BBOG movement.”
He wondered whether Usman’s presence at the declaration was a special recognition of work well done.
Abati urged patriotic Nigerians to open their eyes and reject what he called the movement’s political partisanship and unjustifiable Jonathan bashing
He said, “APC chieftains-BBOG activists. Partisan interest masquerading as altruism. Now, the mask is off!
“Politicising collective agony to score cheap political points. How sad?

Reuben it is an open failure of Jonathan administration. There is no point painting black and blues. In a civilised world it is enough for a president to resign.

Politics of blackmail, blood shedding, sentiments and Jihadism employed by APC will never help win election. Buhari like Lai Mo'hmed and other APC members are all liars for not seeing the achievements of GEJ. They instead engaged in saying the opposite

ReplyDeleteBuhari ruled for less than two years during austerity measures and till today he travels on a Chatered aircraft . It's even cheaper to own one than to charter an aircraft each time you fly. He is contesting his fourth presidential election. He lost three and pursued the case all the way to the Supreme Court , being able to pay Senior advocates to appear at the Supreme Court . The minimum appearance fee for a SAN at a a Presidential election case at the Supreme Court is 25 million naira . Today he is buying a form for 27 million naira. In all his campaigns for Presidency, he has never spent less than 500 million naira. I can agree if you say he is sponsored. At least we know those who sponsored Obasanjo. Who are the sponsors of Buhari ?"
Muhamadu Buhari is a very confuse man. How can a man say, he has stop seeking political position and come back to tell us that he want to run for presidency? If the APC know what is good for them, let them just screen this man out.
