AFCON 2015: Eagles Vs Sudan match tickets go on sale Monday

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on Sunday said ticket sales for Wednesday’s 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifying match between Super Eagles and their Sudanese counterpart will commence on Monday.

A statement issued on Sunday by Ademola Olajire, Assistant Director, Communication, NFA, said the tickets would be on sale at the NFA secretariat.

The statement said that tickets for the VIP Section will cost N3,000 while that of popular side will go for N200.

The match, which is the return leg of Saturday’s encounter in Khartoum where the Eagles lost 0-1 to Sudan, is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Abuja.

It listed the Old Parade Ground Sports Centre and the Wuse Market, all in Abuja, as the other points where the tickets could be bought.

It also said the Sudanese delegation for the match was expected in Abuja on Sunday afternoon aboard Ethiopian Airline.

The statement further urged spectators coming for the crucial encounter to don the national colours of green and white in order to inspire the Eagles.

The Eagles have not played at the National Stadium, Abuja, since Oct. 8, 2011, when a 2-2 draw with the Syli Nationale of Guinea ruled Nigeria out of AFCON 2012.

Since then, the team has practically made Calabar its home, with the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, also hosting a couple of games.

Nigeria’s home matches in the qualifying campaigns for the AFCON 2013 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals were played at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
