Meanwhile, the IG has ordered a thorough investigation into the death of the Vice Chairman, Sun Newspapers, Dimgba Igwe, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Lagos on Saturday.
While recalling the many worthy contributions of the late journalist to nation-building, the IG expressed deep regrets over the incident and condoled with his family.
He noted that Igwe died at a time when his “highly cerebral ideas and ingenuity are very much needed in the country.”
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, on Monday in Abuja, said Abba, assured that the Police would leave no stone unturned in their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the late journalist’s death.
