Amaju Pinnick wins NFF presidential election

Mr Amaju Pinnick, Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, has been elected as new Nigeria Football Association president. Pinnick replaces embattled Aminu Maigari’s after an election at the Golden Tulip hotel in Warri, Delta state.
Pinnick defeated won the election by 32 votes after it went into a re-run. In the first round of the election, Pinnick polled 25 votes 11 more than his closest rival, Taiwo Ogunjobi but could not be named winner because he did not get the mandatory two-third of the votes which is 29 votes.
