Again, Kwankwaso blasts Jonathan over Boko Haram

The Governor of Kano State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has criticised President Goodluck Jonathan’s inability to bring to an end the Boko Haram insurgency.

Kwankwaso argued that the ongoing crisis should not be about identifying people behind the extremist Islamist militants but that focus should be on ending the insurgency.

The APC chieftain also accused the President of insulting Nigerians and the opposition party on television stations.

“Government, especially the Commander-in-Chief, must stop. I find it very insulting to see those who have failed in their primary assignments insulting us on Nigerian Television Authority and other television stations, wearing uniforms, comparing themselves to and pretending to be like first-class leaders such as Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela and other leaders who have protected their people. Many of us are beginning to wonder whether we have a Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces or a Commander-in-Chief of NTA.

“Let me take the opportunity to comment on the issue raised by Governor Rochas Okorocha, on the issue of Boko Haram.

“To me and many of us who are very close to the frontline, the issue is not who is Boko Haram and who is not Boko Haram. The issue is not the party which supports or the party which does not support; the issue is that some people have taken up arms. And from our side we believe whether these people belong to Party A or Party B, whether anybody is supporting or not supporting is not the issue,” Kwankwaso posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

According to the Kano governor, the issue is about Jonathan, as the country’s commander-in-chief, to stop the insurgents’ atrocities and killings of innocent citizens.

    2. Why are you taking sides? Even if APC is aiding terrorism, the onus lies on the Commander in Chief. The Nigerian C in C is weak and lacks objectivity. How can you have a weak C in C who thinks the same way everyday and does the same thing daily and expect yet is expecting different tesult. That is madness. The issue here is not party or whatever, lets face the truth. The C in C lacks vision and does not know what else to do. The situation is quite unfortunate. The president hasnt done enough. If the president and PDP commits the energy, resources and time committed to thos their charade called TAN to fighting BH, this nonsense called BH ought to have ended. His interest is re-election and not the welfare of the people he is administering.its very very disheartning.

U guys have started oh, will u not leave Jonathan to do his job for once without talking. U can't cut a tree without uprooting it otherwise it will grow again
.Must u distract him now that the army wants to deal with BH. Illitrates that are governing us(Virus)

  5. And it is painful to remember the lost ones. All over the world they are fighting insurgents tactically and progressive with air strikes. Look at Somali, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Afghanistan etc etc. The approach in Nigeria is retrospective and no body is asking the CIC where is our Air force? Common sense should tell the president that the Air Force is a strategic tool for this operation.

  7. I wonder why people are speaking from both mouths. When the former Chief of Army Staff exercise his authourity at exterminating the BH, the likes of the governor who cannot control his running mouth and who heads the religion he professes alleged ethnic cleansing. Nobody commended the president on the effort. Right now another effort is being made yet Kwankwaso is running his mouth. He should realise that who lives in a glass house should not throw stones.
I think he should face his problem of the clash between his supporters and that of Buhari's over his inordinate presidential ambition. If he could not control that, for heaven's sake he should shut up. Nigeria is a complex society that needs wisdom. Let him perfect on how to handle Kano before he thinks of Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.

  8. Thank u to the last speaker and all those that have soported GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan. The foolish governor doesn't have the quality to rule the country due his sacastic nature and distractions to the C in C for his recent reactions towards BH Insurgece. GoodLuck u must run 2015 presidential election. Up Nigeria
