It isn’t really clear what prompted Blessing to take to twitter recently to vent her frustration over what she considered as the promiscuous and wanton ways actresses conduct themselves these days.
According to the Vow and After the Vow producer, most actresses sleep around for fame, roles and for the simple reason of just getting paid. In several of her tweets, she not only stated as an opinion she did so like an expert dissecting a situation she is very much at home with:
“How desperate can one be in pursuit of fame and money? In the end, where will you end up? In hell or in heaven? Not all who call God are true. Sad!” she observed wryly. Then followed up more tersely, “ Single and married women sleeping with countless men to climb to the top! Please when you get there, what next please? Vanity, vanity, vanity Some say the competition is too stiff and must do the uncanny to stay abreast.
Please if you don’t have anything to offer, go and sell recharged cards. People now put all artistes under same umbrella. We are not respected because of some greedy, talent-less lot who flood the industry. Husbands skip a heartbeat whenever their wives are on location because of the dirt that goes on. Orgies in hotel rooms involving married couple. Acting is now the gateway to prostitution. People will do anything to have their faces on the screen because ‘market go come and true true market plenty’” she declared.
But more thought-provoking than her declarations are the intentions behind them. People have been wondering what got into Blessing. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Mrs Blessing pls how many movies have you acted or directed? When did you join nollywood for you to make such hasty generalisation?
ReplyDeleteWe understand you want to be famous like other colleagues of yours. It will take you more handwork and years in the industry. You dont need to associate yourself with this kind of message to your fans. #calmdown and face yourself.
All of una wey be actress na the same. Una dey use una bombom get to the top. As for the men, they are always ready to put their bobo into any available bombom.
ReplyDeleteSo Miss BLESSING or CURSE, all of una both men and women na the same. Abeg shut up Ur mouth and do like others.
Its indeed not surorising because any opportunity given 2 Africans(Nigerians iin particular) is usually beeing abused that's why we're hated internationally. Like u rightly askd; after this what next? Varnity upon Vatnity all is varnity!
ReplyDeleteu just said the truth my dear.. may God bless u. vanity upon vanity all is vanity
ReplyDelete@njoku thats the problem we have in nigeria, inability to face the truth. The young woman has brought up a very serious issue based on her experience (which we all know experienced or not), so dont start by critising her on when she started acting or what not....sounds very childish, like music artistes who childishly brag about riches when their fans tell them the truth...childish. so she made a point, sit down and analyse it and stop the childish comparisms
ReplyDeleteMany of them who passed through this channel of bottom power are already seeing the result . If they want to say the truth they will now tell you that money is not everything . Some have made it through that ugly way but they are having one problem or the other which firm and wealth cannot solve . Some Nigerians are not patient at all , they start something today and immediately they want to be on top of those who have been there before them . Driving big cars , living in mansion and always being noticed have landed a lot of Nigerians in to big problems .
ReplyDeleteTrue talk.Bros
