Jonathan meets PDP govs, chairman

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday engaged the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, and some state governors elected on the party’s platform in a closed-door meeting.
The agenda of the meeting which was held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja was not disclosed.
None of those who attended also spoke with journalists at the end of the meeting which was also attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim.
Unconfirmed report however had it that the meeting was part of the party’s preparation for the forthcoming governorship election in Adamawa State as well as the 2015 general elections.
The PDP governors who attended the meeting included the chairman of the party’s governors’ forum, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Lyel Imoke of Cross River State; Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State and Governor Ibrahim Dankwabo of Gombe State.
