Buhari visits Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, on Monday urged Nigerians irrespective of their religious or political inclination to continue to pray for the sustenance of peace in the country.
Mr. Sanusi made the call when the former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, paid him a courtesy call at his palace in Kano. He stressed the need for Nigerians to remain united and pray to bring an end the lingering insecurity challenges bedeviling the country.
The monarch, who, sympathised with Mr. Buhari over the July 23 bomb attack targeted at him in Kaduna, prayed God to prevent future occurrence. He also prayed God to give the families of those killed during various attacks the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and the injured speedy recovery.
Earlier, Mr. Buhari had told the Emir that he was in the palace to congratulate him on his recent appointment as the 14th Emir of Kano. He prayed that God will continue to guide Mr. Sanusi and give him the wisdom to discharge his duties effectively. They made themselves all powerful billionaires and placed the rest in abject poverty. Yet they desperately want power again when southern leaders are doing more for the masses than ever
