The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in saturday’s governoship election in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore last night protested the alleged announcement of the result by the All Progressives Congress APC.
In the letter of protest personally signed by Senator Omisore and addressed to the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, the PDP candidate alleged that contrary to the results being circulated around by the APC, he was actually leading in the poll.
The letter reads in part:” I hereby condemn the APC candidate , Raufu Aregbesola declaring his own version of the results without recourse to INEC. With the facts of results, its apparent that the PDP candidate , Dr. Iyiola Omisore is leading”.
“This act of APC is in conflict with the provisions of Electoral Law 2010 whereby a candidate can concoct figures and released to confuse the public thus make this election inconclusive until facts behind the figures are released by the INEC”.
” The peace and stability of this state is such under an unprecedented threat . The results so far by APC remained cancelled”.

ReplyDeleteWhy can PDP learn from APC? when APC lose to PDP the candidate congratulated the winner. Today, the reverse is the case, instead of congratulating the winner as the case suppose to be, he wrote a protest letter. PDP when will learn???????????????
ReplyDeleteOmisore will never win any election that is credible, free and fair. He trives under rigging. And in the South West , no person or group will win election under dubious means anymore. May the best candidate always win. It pays to he a gentleman at all times . Hooliganism doesn't pay at the end .Hope Omisore will understand this. The great Rastaman sang Bob Maley and I quote "You can fool somebody sometime, but you can not fool everybody all the times". Few words are enough for the wise.
