The Group Managing Director of Energy group, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim has advised Christians nationwide not to work tomorrow and stay at home to observe the Day of Atonement.
Jimoh Ibrahim said specifically that God commanded that his children should not work on the 10th day of the seventh month and that they should bring their souls before Him for atonement.
It is a special day, according to Jimoh Ibrahim, that God set aside to cleanse all saints and it is observed once a year.
He added that this instruction from God is forever. He specifically referred Christians to read Leviticus 16 verses 29-31.
29′And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
30[For on that day shall ] the priest[ make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, ] that[ ye may be clean from all your sins before the Lord
31[It ] shall be[ a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.’
He advised that during this period, they should remember to pray for Nigeria.

ReplyDeleteJewish calendar is different from our calendar, there are two calendars in isralel, we have the religious calendar and Civil calendar , the seventh month of Jews is around october in Nigeria. You can take bible and explain it literaly as it is. Originally bible. Was not wriitten based on our cultures but culture of Israel , so for.meaningful application purposes. Try and understand Jewish Culture and their calendar.

ReplyDeleteBy all standard, the Old Testament should not be interpreted with the New Testament. Christians should be aware that not everything or every words in the old testament should be equally interpreted with equal meaning. I stand to prove that the blood and death of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His eventual resurrection is a clear indication of all these rituals should be of past. To those who still believe in the Jewish system of worship I consider it sensible. To the Christians, it may not be necessary. In all, your faith in the Lord will undoubtedly carry you to the promised land.

HE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPENT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. He insulted many of our Senior Pastors for not revealing the emergence of bokoharam, kidnap or return of Chibok girls. Well, this is one of the Prophets who saw and made revelations more than these three mentioned above. JIMOH IBRAHIM must repent now because he has dared God by using the court and ile to try and cause trouble in Ondo State.. I see a woeful end awaiting him if he does not retrace his steps. If one single person dies in Ondo State because of what he, Modu Sherif and INEC have done, his case would become irredeemable before the Lord.
