It's reported Chelsea are offering John Obi Mikel to Serie A clubs for just €6m (£4.8m).
The Nigerian international midfielder has a contract with the Blues until June 2017, but is struggling for playing time.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea representatives are desperately trying to offload Mikel to an Italian club this summer.
Considering the lack of interest in the 27-year-old, they have lowered their asking price to just €6m – around £4.8m.
However, there are still no apparent takers for the man who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006.

That is what you get when you failed to put in your best on the world stage- the world cup finals. Nobody should weep for Mikel
ReplyDeleteThis desire to offload him may just be as a result of Mikel's lacklustre performance over time and especially at the world cup.
ReplyDeleteThe benefit of not playing well, in the name of "I don't want to get injured playing for Nigeria" is getting benched continually or being sold off cheap!
Sorry Bro, all the best in Seria A...
Iranse
let them lower d prize more. did he think that his woefull play at the world cup wont affect him. we need a good player for the No.10 shirt.
ReplyDeleteHe is now a lazy footballer unlike when he was hot and all clubs were fighting over him. Sorry bro. You became too proud, forgetting Pride comes before a downfall.
ReplyDeleteMikel is bad market for any club now. I have always known that Mikel is finished. He was even to get this far on football. Mikel is one of the laziest no 10 I have watched on football history. He lacks initiatives.he cannot tackle, run neither can he score. He is a back pass master lazying around the centre circle; he breaks unnecessarily the transition of play from defence into attack. In fact, he plays retrogressive football. Mikel was a sorry site to watch during the Brasil 2014 Mundial. His performance was pitiable. Look at pogba & mutuida of France and compare mikel. These are his age mates. It is sad that Mikel is the same player Man U & Chelsea were struggling to have few years back.It is sad. Should one. talk of Messi. In fact, with what I saw of Mikel in the world cup. I see Mikel playing for Udoji United soon
ReplyDeleteHeartland FC, pls bid for this LAZY no 10.
ReplyDeletey all dis insult on mikel..who among u z better dan him..u r hre readin abt him bt he has neva read abt any of u...i think yu pep r lazy...u supose to b at ur various workin place n nt bein hre 2 insult smbody dt z greater dan u.....foolzzzzzz!...come carry d no10 wear na..anu ofia dem!
ReplyDeleteFrom that amount his value will come down to few million naira and my team Abia Warriors will bid for him soon.At least, we can manage him.
ReplyDeleteMikel, the world cup present you an opportunity to prove to Chelsea that you are still the same Mikel when you first sign for the club, rather you show the world that you are older than your age by playing as if you are 40 yrs old.
