#WorldCup - Was T.B. JOSHUA behind Super Eagles defensive tactics against Bosnia?

An online commentator has sensationally revealed that the thanks NFF bestowed upon T.B. Joshua for Nigeria’s recent success against Bosnia in the FIFA 2014 World Cup is for a reason beyond mere prayers.

According to the comment, posted by an individual named ‘Eric’ on an online Nigerian forum, Joshua had prophetically instructed Nigerian midfielder Onazi to tell the team to play defensively in the second half in order to ensure victory by a one goal margin.

“There is more to this 'thanks' than NFF are letting us know,” Eric wrote. “I happen to know a friend of Onazi’s brother who told me what actually happened,” he continued.

“According to him, T.B. Joshua called Onazi in Brazil and told him that God showed him the Super Eagles would win the Bosnia game 1-0 through a first half goal,” Eric commented on the story published by ‘Complete yorts’ chronicling a statement of thanks rendered to Joshua by NFF.

“However, the prophet told them they would have to defend with everything during the second half to ensure they maintained the victory,” he claimed.

Eric went on to allude that T.B. Joshua’s instruction was perhaps behind Nigeria’s change of tactics in the second half and prompted the sudden burst of appreciation from the NFF.

NFF co-coordinator Emmanuel Attah had thanked The SCOAN for their prayers during Nigeria’s victorious African Cup of Nations campaign, furthermore complimenting Joshua for his instrumental role in fostering young Nigerian talent like SS Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.

Onazi is outspoken in acknowledging Joshua’s role in his life and career, describing the pastor as his ‘mentor’ who provided financial and spiritual support pivotal to his rise to top-flight football in Italy’s Serie A.

T.B. Joshua is not new to controversies surrounding his ‘prophetic’ involvement in football. Uproar was ignited in Ghana in 2009 when, in the aftermath of the Africans victory in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh revealed Joshua had revealed to him specific details concerning their final match against hot favourites Brazil.

However, after Nigeria’s victory against Burkina Faso in the AFCON, a result he had predicted via a front page interview with Nigeria’s evening newspaper PM News, Joshua announced he was ‘resigning’ from public predictions concerning football.

The statement of thanks to Joshua ironically came after another influential pastor Enoch Adeboye had thanked God for the Nigerians victory in a Facebook post.

“Thank You Father for the victory You gave to Nigeria this evening,” the pastor of Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) wrote on the social network, praying that a similar victory would be experienced by ‘everything that concerns Nigeria’.

  4. Don't mind them after the match they report the result as prophecy. Now that the super Eagles have not played Argentina, let the prophet tell us the outcome, else he becomes a journalist.

  6. It's unfortunate that most of you just enjoy criticizing the man of God! But, I don't pray that anything negative should happen to any of you. However, it's has been seen clearly today that, most of his critics have visited him for one help or another-spiritually! It's on record that he has at least 90.9% accurate prophecies!
