The no-love-lost relationship between Stephen Keshi and Stoke City wonder-boy Osaze Odemwingie that saw him nearly miss the World Cup is still very much in the team.
Osaze had apologized to Keshi before he was recalled to the national team and to the World Cup but Keshi sacrificed Ike Uche, another red-hot Nigerian attacker who scores goals with eyes closed on charges of being 'technically indisciplined".
And on a night that Keshi's team were rudderless except for Osaze who brought vim and vitality to the attack, Keshi still threw potshots at Osaze for not playing to instructions.
A journalist had complained about the blunt attack of the Eagles but singled out Osaze for bringing fire to the attack when Keshi bared his fangs on the Stoke City player.
''No. No, No. Osaze didn't play well. What he played was not the role I asked him to play", he said leaving many journalists bewildered.
On a night that Emmanuel Emenike was a shadow of himself and instead of being the point man, decided to be playing wide from the wings coupled with wrong passes from Mikel and Ogenyi Onazi, the introduction of Osaze at least brought a sparkling ray of hope. At one instance, he fired a ferocious shot that got everybody standing on their feet as the ball narrowly missed target. He passed balls accurately but Keshi would not have that credit go him.
''I don't know what he played. What he played was not what I asked him to play", he insisted. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

What does Keshi want from Osaze ? Seems there is more to this . He is meant to be scolding the other players and not Osaze who brought some sparks into the game.
ReplyDeleteKeshi I am begining to Suspect you.
ReplyDeleteFor God sake, what does this LOCAL COACH wants from Osaze?as far as am concern,he was the only one that pushed the attack to a setting level that Nigerian appreciated, pls LOCAL COACH u can't get us this time around with al this lies of urs, some of us took to ur side wen you complaint abt him yrs ago because we heard the comments he made abt the National team which everyone frown at,but complaining that he (Osaze)did't play to instruction in the match we played against Iran, really portrayed the LOCAL COACH u are who lack technicality...Pls lets call a spade by its name''Osaze played to the instruction of Nigeria Fans all over the world and that role was appreciated by us because u (Keshi)is not in any any way greater than us who gave u the job'' come ooo,let me ask this LOCAL COACH what role he actually asked Osaze to play?than the one he played which every Nigerian appreciated...Keshi,Keshi,Keshi...Mind your business oooo, jst know that there is God ooooo...
ReplyDeleteKeshi should come out plainly and tell the world what is the bone of contention with Osaze. His latest attack has exposed him to the world. He cannot take the team anywhere if this is his method of raising a national team. Which instruction is Keshi talking about when he sat down like a disabled paralysed by cold. As far as I am concerned, the team selection, role play and performance is a coach failure and he should be held responsible. I have gone down memory lane and can't remember our eagles play this kind of lack lustre game.
ReplyDeleteKeshi should stop putting his failure on the man of the match.
keshi is a blunt adamant coach he dosnt serve d interest of nig n d football. only looking for esquises for his poor dicision n dumb perfomances. i wonder if he continue lk dis how far can he go. my advise 4 keshi is dat u beter stop shifting blame
ReplyDeleteIf keshi could blame Osaze for nt playing to instruction but others plAying to instruction .it shows keshi is technically poor nd was responsible for eagle poor performance.so all those poor passes and area balls r keshi instruction.don't worry u wl be sacked as soon as u come back cus u ve failed naija .
ReplyDeleteThe Keshi doesn't know what he is doing as a coach.
ReplyDeletehe want to sleep with him, useless gay man
ReplyDeleteKeshi please you are not fair in your judgment on osaze.anyway play any how in the next two matches and come back.maybe leave him on the bench and see failure
ReplyDeleteKeshi is now a socer politician. Osaze really brought positive change to d game pattern if Keshi is truthful.
ReplyDeleteKeshi is now a socer politician. Osaze really brought positive change to d game pattern if Keshi is truthful.
ReplyDeleteKeshi is not thinking well for not appreciating osaze. Infact if osaze played for 90mins with good passes to him he would definitely score.
ReplyDeleteOk yes he didn't play to instruction, bt Big boss abeg take am easy with osaze, the guy try him best
ReplyDeleteClueless Keshi.
ReplyDeleteIts pretty obvious keshi is confuse n cluesless since friendly matches startd for worldcup...Imagin d sub he did against Iran(no one was tactically sound)and all he wants to do is find sombody to shift d blame on....Osaze is even d only gud attackin player in dat squad..hisssss
ReplyDeleteI don't think keshi is tactically good ,cause osaze is the only player that make impact in that team.
ReplyDeleteI said it before that Osaze was imposed on Keshi, which by the way, was what Nigerians want. Keshi should learn from the fall of Saisa- proud!. Osazee that brought consolation to nigerians to be condemned by Keshi, to say the least, smack of deceit and self defence so as not to be blamed for excluding the guy all these while and still planning to exclude him in this world cup squad if not that he was opposed by football authority and Nigerians. If Osaze did not follow the Coach's role yet he performed like that and those who follow the Coach's instruction performed woefully, Nigerians need to probe the competence of the Coach. Keshi should wake up!
ReplyDeleteNa only Osaze waka come ?
ReplyDeleteKeshi...#BringBackOurBoys
ReplyDeleteKeshi is a fool, he knows nothing, mayb he ask Osaze to playing back pass
ReplyDeleteOsaze was the man of the match that day, if he had played for 90mins, he would have scored. Keshi should tell us what his problem is with Osaze. It also shows that Keshi doesn't know what he is doing
ReplyDeleteAm just surprise abut d judgement of Keshi, how do u wnt Osaze to play to instruction whn those players that played to instruction dnt play very well and played nonsense on d pitch of play.It is well wit Keshi o,so obvious that der is no love and unity in dat team.God wil help Keshi o.
ReplyDeleteKeshi is a mad man. What else does he want d guy to do?
ReplyDeleteKeshi o!..you be better muni in football technicality. I wonder what else you want him to play. If those long balls and inaccurate passes were your instructions then you are technically handicapped. When you should be appreciating the guys efforts you saying rubbish. Sacking is inevitable for you..yeye!
ReplyDeleteexcuse to exclude Uche and now you are again on Osaze? These are two most experienced and in - form players in Nigeria but keshi 's style of coaching does not need them.Even if Keshi were to be Brazil or Argentine coach he may likely leave out Neymar and Messi based on useless tactics and ago. By the way what is Yobo,Oshan, Azeez,Ameobi Oshaniwan,Agbim and Babatunde have no business being in a team that is serious about making impact in such a tournament.. It is only Keshi that can tell Nigerians and other football lovers the criteria he used in selecting them. Just Watch Ameobi in the last match running and moving around clueless and casually like a pregnant woman. Now he is blaming Osaze who was even full of energy and making effort to put pressure on the Iranian. It is this sort of attitude and action by Keshi that make some conspiracy theorists to start talking about match fixing or bribery..In fact Keshi and his team abracadabra no go kill us for this world cup. Let me enjoy other better prepared team and games joooo!
ReplyDeleteKeshi this no time to shift blame rather time to re strategize and utilize the chances left.Osazee did peefectly well.its football anything can happen.don't be confuse be focuse my broda
ReplyDeleteClueless coach who is not technically sound
ReplyDeleteKeshi u b suspect..u failed nigerians wit ur selection and tactics..!
ReplyDeleteIs nt a curse naija cannt proceed to the 2nd round with a man like Keshi.keshi is a failure for nt appreciating Ozase effort in that match. No wonder other players didn't. Perform as a result of poor instruction keshi gave them.keshi lacks good tatics that is y couldn't win any friendly match he played.so keshi should be careful otherwise he go down with this issue
ReplyDeleteWhat instruction do u want him to play??? Dat kind of defensive pattern of urs, pls keshi let dat boy be cos to me he is d only player dat play wat football is all about n also brough in life into d game.
ReplyDeletedis man shuld b sacked..he z nt a manager material..almighty naija himbled n held by non footballin nation..as far as am concern, osaze z man of d match
ReplyDeleteKeshi is a poor leader.a good leader will always take responsiblity for everything that happens in his administration so that he can adjust.not blaming ur subjects.he is even killing their morale by blaming them.At large Naija is dying as a result of clueless and poor leaders that r used to blame pple instead of taking responsibility .shame on u Keshi
ReplyDeleteKeshi, What's your own self?
ReplyDeleteOSAZE was the best in that match.......all his passes was accurate
ReplyDeleteI think we should sack him now and appoint Osazee as the interim coach till the campaign in over as Keshi as shown that his only goal is to coach a side in the world cup, not to win any match.
ReplyDeleteWhich role did he (Keshi) want him (Osaze)? Osaze tried the way he could. He added spark to the attack a bit. Keshi did not add any tactical approach in the second half of the game after watching the first forty five minutes without producing any goal. Keshi should bury his head in shame.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Keshi dislike Osaze so much? When Keshi was a player he polarized the then Super eagles with his pride, ego and arrogance, infact he did worse than Osaze in terms of manners. May be has forgotten so soon. Keshi stop complaining of Osaze, you are reaping what you did to other couches of S/eagles.
ReplyDeleteYes!! He did'nt play according to instruction and I supported you BIG BOSS!!!, he should'nt have tried to score or make significant impact when he was brought on or has he forget that you fixed the match?
ReplyDeleteMy people, how can Keshi say that Osaze is not a performer. I think he mean to say Ameobi not Osaaaaaaaa boy when he(Kesh is not sick upstire). pls, lets be focus oooooooooooooo, Stephen Kesh, this blame that U are sharing is not good ooooooo. There is GOD in everything we are doing; Keshi, pls stop transfering aggression - do not bring down your integrity. Do your job deligently and wait for God blessing. Tell us you did not blame Osaze and Nigeria will appreciate that. be careful pls.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't play to Ur instructions because they were foolish ones. He did wat was necessary. Woe be on u if u put him on the bench in the next match.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction before d world cup started was that najia will draw 2 matches and lose 1 just d same way d friendly matches went. D reason becos I didn't see dem attack in d games. And with out attackers u really will not achieve much. Even IG osaze play for 90 min niting diff is expected, cos their pattern of play is outdated. Chai chai chai
ReplyDeletei guez dat was a slip of tongue
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, I now believe Keshi is a big fool for blaming Osaze. The only players that gave me joy in that match on the Nigerian side were Osaze and Enyeama.
ReplyDeleteKeshi please free this Osaze as far as am concern his the only one who play well better drop this your hatred and do what you're ask to do beside this is not a family cup but world cup if you can't deliver we sack you . You live the important people you suppose invite you when and invite some people who don't know how to play what happened to Ikechukwu Uche?
ReplyDeleteMaybe he collected money from iran. didnt u see how happy he was after d match, from d way he shoot hand with the iranian coach
ReplyDeleteWhy waste ur strength over someone's lapse? Keshi is nt tactically sound football wise. Take a look at our qualifying matches, dey r notin bt individual performances. I bet u, if keshi should allow d boys go out der n play der game, u will see a big difference. Up Super Eagles....down down keshi O U T.
ReplyDeleteThe blames that are sharing on osaze will tell.Noe Fifa is calling you to help you find your missing vigour, will you keep quiet? Chaii....diaris God o!
