The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three herdsmen suspected to have raped and subsequently killed a middle-aged woman.
The victim was said to have been attacked alongside her 18 years old son while returning from farm at Odighi village in Ovia North East Local Government.
The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained at press time.
The son was said to have escaped when his mother was attacked.
It was the policemen attached to Ekiadolor Divisional police headquarters that recovered the body of the victim after complaints were lodged by the villagers.
Public Relations officer (PPRO), Edo state police command, DSP, Noble Uwoh who confirmed the incident said three suspects have been arrested.
He gave the names of the three suspects as Mohammed, Isah and Yusuf.

Why should these Fulani herdsmen harrass and terrorise our people here in the South again? Don't they have any regard for human lives? If they are not dealt with seriously now, they will continue with their evil acts and gradually spread to other parts of the South. No Southerner can go to the North and behave the way these Fulani herdsmen are doing. So, why should we not deal with them NOW! If possible, evacuate them to their homeland, because they cannot live with humans. They are not humans at all!
