Also accused of interference in the June 21 election is a Peoples Democratic chieftain, Chris Uba.
Fayemi, who spoke to reporters at his voting unit in Isan-Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area, described them as busybodies, noting that the matter was immediately reported to the appropriate authorities.
His wife, Bisi, in an interview, wondered why Obanikoro, Adesiyan and Uba were allowed to move around in the state during the election with their security details.
She said, "These are people who are not from Ekiti State, they have no business being here and they have been busy going around, trying to subvert the electoral process with their own policemen.
"We will like to see these gentlemen escorted out of Ekiti immediately so that the people of Ekiti can be left in peace to exercise their franchise."
Fayemi said, "The greatest concern has to do with busybodies who have no business in Ekiti and who are parading themselves around as agents of the Federal Government, a clear violation of the clear and complete restriction of movement that the Chairman of INEC and the IGP made very clear during the stakeholders engagement a couple of days ago in Ekiti.
"I think we have to keep watching. It is not over until it is over. We have a duty to continue to encourage our people to vote and stand by their votes because this is the only opportunity they have to demonstrate their preference without resorting to self help."

You're blaming top security chiefs (the ministers) who are federal public servants. Please when Rochas Okorocha, Adams Oshiomole, grounded Amaechi who abandoned their states and came to ekiti where they have no business to campaign for you, what did you say? ReplyDeletepresidency just show its power there. they are indirectly saying they can stop any form of insecurity if not because they need the blood. they can stop any aeroplane moving in and out of Nigeria and even within. and for those us that are expecting free, fair,transparent and credible election in Nigeria should forget it because GEJ will not win under free, fair transparent and credible election and He has decided to remain there at all cost. what Nigerians should be careful about is that GEJ want be the last or the longest served president of one Nigeria and his body language showing he is working towards that.

ReplyDeleteJKF, you deserve no sympathy. You lost the election three years ago consequent upon your delibrate misrule, deceit and falsehood. So you can turnround and still blame some people for your self-inflicted misfortune. Its most unfortunate. However, when will you head to the tribunal? Congratulations to Ekitis for showing the light to the rest of Nigerians through a near-perfect election.
