First lady Michelle Obama showed solidarity with the families of Nigeria on Wednesday, tweeting out a photo of her holding a sign saying "Bring Back Our Girls."
"Our prayers are with the missing Nigerian girls and their families," Mrs. Obama said in the message. "It's time to #BringBackOurGirls." she said on her twitter page.
Nearly 300 Nigerian girls have been abducted by an Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram, and they have threatened to sell them into slavery for N2000 each (about $12).
President Obama's adminstration is sending technical experts and other assistance to Nigeria to help find the girls, after the Nigerian president finally accepted foreign aid in tackling the insurgency. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
