NSA, service chiefs visit Chibok over girls’ abduction

The National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (retd.), on Thursday visited Chibok in company with service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, in continuation of the ongoing effort to rescue the schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram members from the Government Secondary School, Chibok over three weeks ago.

This was contined in a statement by Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen Chris Olukolade, on Thursday.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal A.S. Badeh, who said he did not want to comment on the number of the abducted girls,, noted that every single life was important to the nation.

He said no “effort will be spared at finding the girls.”

Badeh appealed to the members of the immediate community and the general public to provide security agencies with useful information that would lead to the rescue of the girls.

The team was conducted round the school by the Vice Principal Administration, Bulama Modu.

Some of the facilities inspected included the burnt classrooms, dormitories and laboratories.

The statement added that the team had returned to Abuja.

  1. In other countries their leaders will visit crime scenes within hours of the occurrence of such hideous crimes.
In Nigeria, our leaders visit crime scenes/the people after over 3 weeks and intense pressure from foreign countries and social media campaigns from within and without Nigeria!

Thanks to our poor leaders, Nigeria has become a laughing stock, editorials all over the world are united in saying that our Presidents inaction is based on his desire for a second term and a reluctance to do anything to ''offend'' the North.

    How callous and unfeeling?
