The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has sealed the proposed campaign office of the Peoples Democratic Party's governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Mr. Kayode Amusan.
The anti-graft agency sealed the office located on Gbadebo Road, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, over the weekend on allegation of fraud.
When our correspondent visited the office on Tuesday, a Federal High Court order dated February 7, 2014, FHS/L/CS/1661/14 pasted on the entrance alleged that the building was procured by the owner, Felix Oriyomi Ewulo, with proceeds from fraud.
According to the EFCC, Ewulo "is being investigated for the offences of conspiracy to defraud, stealing and obtaining money by false pretences."
When contacted on the telephone, Amusan, said, "I bought the property for N30m from Ewulo and I have all the legal documents with me.
"After he gave me copies of the documents, I went to the EFCC office in Ikoyi and I confirmed that they are genuine before I bought the property." Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
