  1. There is a difference between "made in Nigeria" and 'assembled in Nigeria". What is the difference between this and the peugeot assembly plant in Kaduna?

  2. The 11.51 pm comment is from a saddist. Auto parts are produced by various manufacturers only to be assembled by the automaker. The efforts of the govt to start from somewhere should be appreciated by those who are not too blind to see. Meanwhile where is Lie Mohammed and his lie makers?

    1. What concerns Lai Muhammed here, anarchist you are. Whether you like it or not, that car is not 'made in Nigeria', but 'assembled in Nigeria'. Yes, we should start from somewhere, but should not claim to have "made" a car.

  4. My brother I aggree with you. To me the Made in Nigeria car is INNOSON cars ( SUV,BUSESand SEDAN) its unfortunate that this indeginous company was not celebrated as this. We don't celebrate our own that why MTN was given more growth impetous than Globacom. Its a shame really.

  9. I really do not know when Nig will remove sentiment and be objective .ignorance is a disease. who said cars are done in one place.different company make different parts but the concept is of the manufacturer.many car trade names are make in America with American specification but the real owners are of another nation. It is a great feet that after many years a of colapse Nig can boast of cars bearing made in Nigeria .is it not great.what is this blind hatred for , even Lucifer hated God but often acknowladge that God is Good and just. This is a man who did not abandon his childhood wife to marry a glamour girl but feels proud to associate with her despite her deficiencies, this is a man who acknowledge that only Gid made him and not his effort.this is a man that is morally sound and no news of indian apple girls. This is a man that is plane and of good temperament and refuse to use power abitrarily. Most of those who insult him should have done that to OBJ and see where they would have landed if you doubt ask Orji uzo Kalu and Ibori and Tinubu.but small boys insult the president any how and feels no remorse. This is the 1st Nig President with a PHD and what he is doing is showing that He is more intelligent than His critics.Let us for once acknolegde goood when we see it .I am not favoured by his govt but that does not mean he is no trying and I know that with the pace of things .every Nig will soon feel good and will have no reason to run abroad. The devil you know is better than the Angel you did not see .if you hate good .you will not see it in your life time.posetive criticism with acurate information and not this exibit of village mentality is what will help us

    1. My broda I get your point but our leaders are too corrupt for your understanding. It doesn't take FG to gather 5 years back graduates with distinction across universities in Nigeria to put their heads together in making the first car from a raw material level down to a finished product level but the selfishness and greediness that its deeply in the DNA of our leaders will never let them do such simple bcos of the peanut needed to accomplish this project nor the attractive percentage cut signed, sealed, stamped and approved btw our leaders and the foreigners invited to make this car will never allow them to gather nigerian graduates for the quest/project. America started from somewhere and look at where they are today, they have "FORD". When you look at the first invention of FORD, u'll laugh and roll on the floor but when you look at it now OMG will come out of your mouth. I have a mechanical engineer in obalende(lagos) who made a car all by himself, the car like I said is very funny but he drives it around town as if its a hummer trying to advertise himself. If our government was good, that guy would have put his head down to improve on his invention.

  11. Whether Innoson or any other manufacturer efforts should be made to encourage both assembled or 100 percent made in Nigeria cars. This way we can build the industry.

  12. Nissan is a Japanese car which is assembled in different parts of the world including the United States. Jeep Cherokee opened an assembly plant in China two years or so ago but that does not make Jeep Cherokee a Chinese car. For those who care to know, there is a difference between "made in Nigeria" AND "assembled in Nigeria". Assembling a car in your country does not give you ownership of that car, as is the case with this Nissan which remains Japanese. It is cheaper to assemble Nissan in Nigeria than in Japan because of labor costs for the work force.
