Borno governor should be held responsible for the abduction of Chibok girls - Oritsejafor

The President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has said that Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima should be held responsible for the abduction of the over 200 schoolgirls in Chibok for refusing to heed the earlier advice given by the West African Examination Council.

In a telephone interview during the week, Oritsejafor flayed the governor for not relocating the girls before the Boko Haram insurgents seized them in their hostel on April 14, 2014.

He said many people had been killed by the Boko Haram terrorists because the governor abdicated his primary responsibility of protection of lives and property.

Oritsejafor, however, asked the governor to stop blaming the Federal Government for his failure to protect the lives of the citizens.

He said, “The principal of the Government Girls School in Chibok, where the girls were kidnapped, is a Muslim, the vice-principal is a Muslim, so, they should explain where these abducted girls are being kept.

“Despite the earlier advice given by the West African Examination Council that the girls should be relocated to a safer place because Chibok was not safe, the governor and the principal ignored the advice. So, they should be held responsible.

“Many Christians are being kidnapped daily in Borno State. Just recently, a pastor’s wife and her three children were kidnapped and nobody is asking question.

“It is also pertinent that the governors of the three states under emergency rule should be removed to pave the way for the military to ensure security of lives because it appears that the interests of the governors differ from those of the military.”

Oritsejafor, however, commended the military and their foreign collaborators for intensifying effort in locating the girls.

He said, “The military are doing their job; they are trying their best to secure the release of these girls, so they deserve our commendation.”

  1. This is my first time of calling you a fool. Pls pardon me because I dont insult my elders but you have narrowed the situation on ground to religious sentiments to attract attention to your office. In chibok and other Bornu villages who are facing the war knows that BH bomb and gun is non respecta of any religion. They kill and abduct anyhow. They don't have time to screen before they wreck havoc. Haba pastor Ayo just reason for once. What of the buni yadi students that were slaughtered in their hostel, are they xtains? Nigeria only has tribal problem to certain degree and not religious problem at all.

    1. PARDON YOU AFTER CALLING HIM A FOOL?. YOU GOT IT WRONG. IT IS INTENTIONAL.
FOR YOUR OPINION, YOU HAVE ADDRESS THE QUESTION RAISED BY PAPA AYO. WHY DID THE GOVERNOR REFUSED THE ADVICE OF WAEC ON RELOCATION OF THE STUDENTS?. WHY THE CONCIDENCE THAT THE GIRLS WHO ESCAPED FROM BOKO HARAM ARE MUSLIMS?, WHY THE KIDNAP OF THE PASTOR AND HIS THREE CHILDREN?. WHY FORCED THE KIDNAPPED GIRLS TO COVERT TO MUSLIM?. BOKO HARAM ONLY KILLED MUSLIMS WHO ARE SABOTUERS BY THEIR DEFINITIONS. WHY? WHY?? WHY??? "SINCE NO RELIQIOUS PROBLEM AT ALL"?

    1. I doubt if you are a Christian, though am quite sure you pilot the affairs of CAN, a soothing statement and not the one that blindly apportions blame is the least that's expected of you. Am surprise you are yet to make the front desk of Labaran Maku's office your base, because this will enable you a better grasps of the tasks as they come for your enhanced performance thus skyrocketing your KPI.

  9. Dr.Orji Uzor Kalu wants everyone to know that President Goodluck Jonathan may be the last president Nigeria will have.

What could make him utter such statement that can even put him to death if the country is being governed by a dictator?

The former governor of Abia State wants Nigerians to be wise like his grandmother when it comes to security issues in the country.

He is asking Nigerians to take the security matter very serious because it is no longer the job of Jonathan alone.

“If we don’t take time and work together as Nigerians, Jonathan might be the last Nigerian President. Jonathan might be the Gorbachev of Nigeria. And that is the truth, so we better wake up.”

We should be able to come together as one family and fight because if we don’t take time; I repeat it for the second time; Jonathan will be the last president of the name Nigeria. Government can negotiate formerly or informally”

  12. Pastor Mayo has been a fool and a hater all his life. There was no Boko Haram activity in Chibok before that unfortunate incident. The people of north eastern Nigeria will not postpone their lives because of a security threat. The advice by waec was not taken by the governor based on those reasons. Mayo is a confusionist who won't mind if all the Muslims will be massacred this minute cos they don't pay tithes.

  17. AYO IS A SADIST, ASKED YOUR FELLOW CAN IN BORNO ABOUT SHETTIMA. CHIBOK SCHOOL IS NOT THE ONLY SCHOOL THAT WAS OPEN FOR WAEC AT THAT TIME AND ITS NOT THE ONLY SCHOOL WITH HIGH POPULATION OF CHRISTIANS IN BORNO. BUT ITS ONLY UNFORTUNATE THAT IT HAPPENS THERE. TAKE NOTE THAT ITS NOT DURING SHETTIMA OR JONATHAN TIME THAT BOKO HARAM STARTED, INSTEAD OF BOTH RELIGION LEADERS TO TRY AND HELP THE GOVERNMENT TO FIGHT/FIND SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM, THEY WERE ALWAYS ADDING FUEL TO THE BURNING FIRE. THE BEST SOLUTION TO NIGERIAN SITUATION IS TO DISSOLVED OR SEPARATE RELIGION ORGANISATION FROM POLITICS, LETS STAY SECULAR. THEN THE MILITARY SHOULD INVESTIGATED WITHIN THE DEFENCE THOSE TOP OFFICERS THAT WERE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY COLABORATING WITH BOKO HARAM.

  21. Are you from Borno? Abeg allow people from there talk. Oh Religion sentiment, you dont want a muslim to be a principal to the school, let me tell you we have a lot of schools in Borno that were muslim dominant but christian principal, let me tell you another thing Chibok people are one family,a mix of muslims and christians in each family and no religion crises has ever happen there. And can you prove that its the only school that was open that time?. YOU WILL NEVER BE IN GOOD POSITION TO TALK ON CHIBOK/BORNO EVEN IF YOU WERE FROM OTHER PART OF NORTHERN NIGERIA, TALKLESS OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA............STAY THERE AND DRINK OGOGORO/KAIKAI
