Three brothers, seven others arrested for robbery in Ondo

Ten Armed robbery suspects including three blood brothers and secondary school dropouts have been arrested by police detectives in Ondo State.
The suspects who were arrested and paraded by the state Police Command following a tip off by some personalities in the area.
Eight of the suspects were living together in a single room situated in Odo Alafia street Ondo town before they were picked up.
The three brothers include Sherif Olamoyegun 18 years old, Olamoyegun Jelili 20 years and and Wasiu Olamoyegun 24 years.
Others are Bunmi Adewale, 39 years; Sunday Tosin, 19 years; Kabiru Lateef ,20 years; Elusakin Samuel, 20 years and Niyi Adesiyan, 20 years.
Items recovered from the eight suspects include one cut-to-size single barrel gun, one expended cartridge, one UTC axe, one cutlass, hammer, one sword, knife, Army belt and a complete pair of Vigilante Group of Nigeria uniform.
Police Commissioner Isaac Eke said all accused have confessed to be a gang of armed robbers terrorising the people of Ondo town and its environs.
Eke added that some of the victims they had earlier robbed have identified them.
The Commissioner said two other men from a five man-robbery-gang who raided a house in Ibitayo Estate, Ondo have been apprehended by detectives from the state in Delta state. He explained that two suspects, uche Eze and Nnamdi Emeka were arrested by detectives who trailed them from the state to Delta state.
The Police Chief said the gang robbed the entire household of one Adeyemi Olubanke of no 1 Olabomowo street Ibitayo estate Ondo at gunpoint.
Eke said that the suspects made away with a Toyota Hiace bus marked KTU 477AH belonging to St. Stephen Cathedral Church.
The Commissioner pointed out that the church bus has been recovered by the. Police.
Others items recovered include, seven wedding rings, ten different types of handsets, one Ipad, ATM cards, wrist watches and cash of N103,000.
He said the suspects on interrogation have confessed to the commission of the offence.
