The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar-led Jama’atu Nasril Islam on Monday in Kaduna State raised the alarm that the Nigerian military are out to wipe out the entire muslims in the name of fighting terrorism in the land.
The JNI insisted that Nigerian muslims, especially in some Northern parts of the country were now considered a danger species, expressing concerned over the dimension of extra-judicial killing of Muslims in the country.
Secretary-General of the JNI, Dr. Khalid Aliyu, in a statement on behalf of the religious body in Kaduna on Monday also noted with sadness the incident of Keana 15 in Narasarawa state where a settlements of innocent Muslims were mercilessly massacred.
According to the JNI, the various reports of massacre of Muslims by the military in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states under the guise of fighting terrorism were unacceptable.
The JNI said, “the dimension of extra judicial killing of Muslims by the Military on a mere whim of unsubstantiated suspicion leaves much to be desired, which clearly depicts that Muslims have become endangered species, murdered and maimed indiscriminately in the guise of fighting terrorism.
“We can say without any fear of contradiction that there is a grand agenda to destabilize the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria. If any Nigerian is in doubt regarding the hidden grand agenda to destabilizes Muslims in Nigeria, and cautiously reduce their rising human capital, then the Zamfara State incidence should have removed this doubt.
“An event where vigilante personnel working to restore peace would be the subject of a grand massacre, tells much about the chaos and insecurity some enemies want to push our states into. We call on all our Governors, politicians and indeed every well-meaning citizen to do something before it gets out of hand.”
The group added, “where is the human rights compliance and rule of engagement by the military personnel involved in maintaining peace and security? Why are the defaulting military personnel not brought to book for deterrent and forestalling future occurrence?
“The military should know that it is extremely dangerous to polarize security agencies along religious line. It will have far reaching negative effect in the country, especially at this material time, where the efforts of all are required to cushion the effect of the pains we are passing through.
“JNI unequivocally condemns the extra judicial killing of 15 Fulani Muslims in Keana, the raping and subsequent killing of Binta Usman, the milk maid and all the human rights abuses on innocent Muslims in Maidugri.

This tells us that He and others may know the mission of BK and probabily support it. So they do not want the govt to stop BK? He is a stupid hypocrit. they are ones who kept north impoverished for many years. His ancestors and other northern leaders have ruled this country, nothing to show for it. Their youths, they could not give good education, instead they sent them to Alamajiris trainings to become beggars. Now everything is hard and no embezzlement as usual in Federal ministries as before for their brothers in position to do, as to use the money share them there in return for 'Ranka dede"praise. It is no longer business as usual. Their eyes are opened and JNI and group has realized their ills and maltreatments to their present generation, many maladministration, mistakes and misdeed to north and indeed the country. I said this because I believe his statement came from the false alarm raised by the so called soldier who told the punch newspaper about military commanders aiding Boko Haram. Boko Haram was created by the North against Jonathan, unfortunately the monster they created has turned against them. He should forget it, he cannot confuse Nigerians by trying to indirectly put the cause of BK on GEJ. Maybe they sent that 'Soldier" to Punch news paper to fabricate those stories to gain sentiments and sympathy. ReplyDeleteThe simple truth is that former President Obasanjo has said Jonathan has trained snipers. I think those snipers are at work because when Boko Haram were still functioning, the rate of destruction was not as bad as this, even then the people of Maiduguri preferred to be left with the BH but the very moment the military were introduced, the level of killing changed to a massacre. It was just like the govt was looking for an opportunity to wreck havock on the North and BH provided the platform then they took full advantage of the situation. In areas where there's no BH, they said it was the Fulani's and they equally took that advantage of killing innocent people if not apart from Benue and Taraba there were no reported cases of Fulani/Farmer clashe, then suddenly they said Katsina, then plateau and now Zamfara.

It's like d Sultan has forgotten that the miitary formation comprises of men and women of different religious group. Secondly, he has forgotten the Udi and Zakibiam cases where the whole lands were sacked and people killed by military as a result of the killings of security officers by some blood thirty idiots in the areas? Where insurgents reign, innocent people tend to suffer. Whoever is sponsoring the activities of the BH should ask their BH friends to stop what they r doing and ask for forgiveness from God. They should also remember that the sins of the fathers shall be revisited upon their children, even to the tenth generation! Don't let ur unborn children suffer for ur selfish gains of today.
