Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and deputy national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Nasir el-Rufai has said that, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has 11 more months to vacate and hand over power to the APC
.
According to him, APC is a government in the waiting, adding that, “even people in power now know that, they have 11 months to pack their bags because we are taking over”.
He stated this in Kaduna yesterday at the state APC stakeholders’ meeting in preparation for the party’s forthcoming congresses.
The former FCT Minister who is being rumoured to be nursing ambition for the governorship of Kaduna State however described his rumoured aspiration as premature, adding that at the appropriate time, party members in the state will elect their candidates for respective offices.
According to him, “My priority as the deputy national secretary is to ensure that, APC is a very strong party in Kaduna State and other parts of the country. And the question of contesting for office will be determined by the party at the appropriate time”.
Also speaking at the occasion, Senator Sani Saleh, who is an APC Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone said, there was no crisis in the Kaduna State APC as speculated, saying that, the little challenges the party had, bordered around implementation of national guidelines which has already been resolved.
He however said that, the party was ready to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeletewell APC I hope u guys are well prepared not just on the pages of newspaper. for u to wrest power away from PDP u guys have to be grassroot politicians, not the Buhari style that did not come to south south to campaign when he wanted to be president in 2011, that kind style will still land u guys in failure. I wish u guys all the best, but I will still vote for PDP come 2015 hehehehehehe.
ReplyDeletePDP has eleven months to go along with APC to stop further chaos in our political system.
