Jonathan meets South West APC Governors in closed-door meeting

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, met behind closed doors with governors of the All Progressives Party, APC, from the South West zone at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The meeting which lasted for over an hour was attended by governors Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.

Although none of the four governors spoke to state house correspondents after the meeting, it was learnt that the forth-coming National Conference and some development projects in the zone may have been issues discussed.

Governor Fashola told state House Correspondents that “It was a private meeting, if there is need for you to know, the Presidential media aide will brief”.

It was gathered that the forth coming elections in Osun and Ekiti state also came up and the governors allegedly gave their commitment to the conduct of a free and fair election.

    1. Check your facts out before writing please.
Jagaban never sold out, have you read the Ribadu interview?
      If not,please do so.
Ribadu acknowleged that a decision to step down for Buhari was taken in the presence of Ibb,Abdulsalam, and ACN disagreed.
So,Ribadu himself admitted not being a candidate but Buhari

  6. It's deceit meeting. Anonymous 8:19 PM has said it all. Remember how Mr. Obasanjo deceived South West governors then. Dr. Jonathan is a desperate man who can do anything to get to position and/or remain in position. He will never deal with anyone who destroys Nigeria in as much the person sings his praises. He is a joker.

    3. Surely, i will “DIE“ but only at the time when the AL-MIHTY GOD destined for me to die even if it‘s at moment, i have no problem with that but my only wish and prayer is for me to die faithfully and in obdient to the ALMIGHTY GOD. And so shall you also remain useless in this world and in the next life to come. Shall we all say Ameen to this Prayer?

  7. Why are people so daft to begin speculate what they do not know? Let's keep our fingers cross. I know APC mean well for Nigerians.
