President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday, directed the immediate cancellation of the immigration recruitment exercise that led to the death of more than twenty applicants and scores of others injured.
The presidential directive was given at today’s Federal Executive Council meeting where the president further directed that all those who lost their loved ones would have automatic slot for three applicants, one of whom must be a woman.

Should I say a "blessing in disguise"? But it is quite unfortunate that the dead can't come back to life. Someone else would have to benefit from the tragedy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a compensation!!!! what of those who didn't lose their lives? should they die of hunger for our dear leader to know that our problem is not satisfying or pacifying those whose relatives died or those injured? What of thousands of those with one degree of injuries or another but chose to nurse theirs at home? What of the rest of them with psychological injuries? Our presi and his people in govt should think deeply and apply situations to themselves. If govt could sell about a million forms for vacancies not up to 5000, then hope of change for this nation is really slim. They need to change their ways before the masses become wise enough to appreciate that their destinies are in their own hands
