Probe report on Oduah will be made public - EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has promised to make public the outcome of its investigation into the purchase of two BMW bullet-proof cars by the Nigerian Aviation Civil Authority in 2013, costing N255m.

The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said during a press conference in Abuja on Friday that the operatives of the commission were still investigating the scandal which rocked the aviation ministry under the then Minister, Ms Stella Oduah.

Uwujaren was silent on whether or not the commission would invite the sacked minister for interrogation
He noted that it would be improper for any law enforcement agency like the EFCC to give a prior notice of invitation to a suspect.

He said what should concern Nigerians was EFCC’s investigation of the case and not whether Oduah had been interrogated or would be invited for questioning.

He said, “I think the issue is not whether we are going to invite Oduah or not; what should interest Nigerians at this point in time is whether EFCC is on that matter or not.

“And I can tell you that the commission is on top of that case; we are doing it, we are investigating it and in due course, we shall tell you the outcome of that investigation.

“As you would know, no responsible law enforcement agency would give a prior notice to invite a suspect in a matter; we don’t do that.

“I have told you that we are investigating the Oduah matter and that in due course, we will let you know the outcome of that matter.”

  2. Where were you EFCC when all the fraud is taking place? After the call from every Nigerian to investigate and arrest Ms Oduah you keep mum. Now after all evidence to the case have been destroyed just like her profile and CV on-line, you find your vioce. God Bless Nigeria

  4. Of what benefit or importance is it to NIGERIANS if the efcc make public their probe on oduah‘s case, afterall those with clear evidence and clear proff of criminal record like former bayelsa state, bode judge, aminu dabo, farouck lawan and the pension thief, are still going about their activities freely without any intimidations from the law enforcement agents. All this meaningless and useless noise by the efcc about oduah is just to creat an impression in the minds of low thinking NIGERIAN that gej is fighting corruption and at the tail end of it all nothing will happen to her. So,as usuall let them go and squeaze what they can squeaze out the loots and let the “CORRUPT WOMAN“ be with her “SINS“ afterall that is how it is in this country since from ibb‘s regime of “SHAME“ to this “USELESS,SHAMELESS and UNPRODUCTIVE“ administration of gej,i bet you there are still a thousands and one most dangerous, deadly and most corrupt men and women than stella oduah in gej‘s cabine not to talk of the worst of them all,“GEJ HIMSELF“ WHAT A COUNTRY WITH SUCH A FUNY CHARRACTERS!
