Pastor Tunde Bakare Likens APC to Church Of Satan

The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly has likened Nigeria's foremost opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Church of Satan.

Pastor Tunde who was Muhammadu Buhari's running mate under the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC in 2011 allegedly made the comparison during a sermon.

"APC is like a newly opened church of Satan with the devil as a Pastor which could not be distinguished by Nigerians from a true living Godly Church and hence could be mistaken for a real Church, even when it was made of thieves (Legitimate Pen Robbers)", Pastor Bakare said.

He further accused the APC of ganging up against Local Government fiscal Autonomy using crumbs from stolen accumulated wealth to bribe their thievery colleagues at Federal and State house of Assembly.

"It is very clear that 5 Governors of APC in the west is far richer than their state and they have looted every penny from their state purse. People should be careful of this Rogues", Pastor Bakare concluded.

  3. Egbon oh!, it's been difficult for some if us who did esteemed you and your opinion especially while we were younger to see that you seem to be very confused sir. You are a difficult person to follow, my worries are that,1. You prophesied the saviour of the nation will come from a region many years ago, you said former generals aren't the nation's saviour, yet you submitted yourself to be Buhari's running mate?, you have issues with Tinubu and we can all understand, so with this comment and really don't know what's in the offing , maybe your struggle in consciencous or something that's comes from your intuition or whatever. I have chosen to just read whatever you say, follow your prophetic teaching with my heart but aside the Christian tenet, I will follow you from afar sir... Don't want to be confused. However, thank you for all the faith building teachings while we were in Uni!

    1. @Gbenga Dimu;

The tone of your comment could clearly be heard from a disappointment & biased heart. You suddenly went grossly sad when Mr Tunde Bakare said the truth about APC; u are very unfortunate! You will agree with d fact that Bakare doesn't say things he did not know; a careful look at APC shows that all of the leaders especially Tinubu and Atiku are known thieves. Only time will tell..............i pity your future!

  5. I respect Pastor Bakare As a Worthy leader in dis country but his political view on APC and Revolutionary agenda is myopic,,,,Why Pastor Bakare did he lost election in 2011 despite its credibility abd its corrupt free candidate....let m say dis U can not apply real political ideology in dis porous system of Goverment without aving balance in PoLITICAL POWER....dats why APC should put aside its Ideology and strenghteing is political structure across d nation without romancing with strong political holders/agrieved PDP Dere is poverty across d land only those dat hhold political office gain crowd which is difficult for pple wt clear ideology or technocrat to gain political weight to win election. Dats why APC need to romance with them to strenght it political base ...why was it difficult for d Pastor Bakare to win d last election despite its credibility at dat time. for nw, no political party in Nigeria can outweight d political structure of PDP dats bin in existence in d last 15yrs without romancing wt aggrieved members of PDP......I stil give d kkudos to APC and its team

  6. Is the PDP better? What progress has Nigeria recorded since 1999?

Give APC a chance to change Nigeria. PDP has failed.

  7. If APC is the church of satan then PDP is the great Babylon that must fall and rise no more

  8. PDP steals from you during the day, APC steals fromyou during the night. Which one is worse? I believe pdp is a better place to be in now because all the major thieves are now in APC. Thats my own opinion

  9. Pastor tunde bakari dobledpke, why castigating APC now? You have not tell nigerians what your problems is with the leders in APC.

  10. Political Pastor; speaking from both side of his mouth. In 2011, he was in CPC as Presidential running mate. He lost and just realized this his assertion. Nigerians open your eyes and avoid confused Pastor from getting you confused

  11. Gbenga Dimu & Adewale, I find you submission inappropriate. You both claim to hold the Pastor in high esteem, yet you came to the conclusion that he is confused and myopic.

Is it that you can't read between the lines? The Pastor (and so many should many Nigerians) is grieving, because there is basically no difference between PDP and APC. They are the same set of people rolled over in another form of clothing.

It is crystal clear that salvation for the nation will not come from this crop of people. Their deeds and actions of the past goes before them and their action is speaking louder than their voices. Yet Nigerians can not discern and we quickly crucify any voice that tends to open our eyes and ears. When you pack rotten egg in the same crate as good ones you end up spoiling the good ones. There are a few progressive elements in APC, which will be corrupted by this marriage of strangers.

Until the day Nigerians can recognise that the bedrock of development and enduring democracy is parties with strong and broad ideological inclination, the nation will remain crippled. I agree it will be difficult under the current dispensation to base your political association strictly on common ideology, but without credible governance from credible political association and parties, the nation is going no where. A politics of "if you can't beat them join them" will make all the eggs rotten, and with that all hope of redemption is gone.

I think your comments to the Pastor need to be balanced, so as not to obscure the truth. Clearly APC is an amalgamation of a few progressive (and I emphasis few) and the old brigades whose interest is only their belly. The pastor is right, Nigerians should be worried – and I am worried. I can’t choose between APC and PDP, there is no difference.

For the sake of the nation I hope and pray that the Pastor is wrong, and the governance offered by APC will be any different from PDP, but I will be surprised.

    1. Wole, I hope you understand my position. I am neither APC or PDP, I am not even around to vote in the coming election. But I have been confused by uncle Tunde's submissions many atimes. This occasion is not an exception. I think I should not be demeaned or raking a position. While I know APC may have rogues like he said, he was in the company of these rogues 4 years ago and we his followers proudly followed him. My submission- on spiritual assignment, pastor is among the deepest I have seen, but on politics I seem not to know where he stands. I don't trust pastor Bakare on political comments again however he is my hero when it comes to God, His way and practices...

    2. Hello Gbenga,

While I am not going to hold brief for the Pastor, I felt there is need for discernment to separate issues and deal with every facts on it's own merit. There are two issues you've mentioned (1) Faith and (2) Political Association of the Pastor.

There are VERY few genuine Pastors in Nigeria. Men who seek to do God's will and lead the people into the same. Men who are not riding on the backs of their followers, and not jetting around the world when their followers can hardly afford a pair of sandals. You have credited the Pastor as being amongst the deepest - which I agree, and there is no need to stress this further.

Politically, I will like to submit as follows:
I was surprised when the Pastor ran for office in 2011. I was surprised because it is unusual for a Priest to run for office of the King. From early scriptures, the office of the Priest and the office of the King are always at variance, and neither desire to trade places. The bible teaches that most genuine priest avoids the kings table (in order to avoid being compromised) and most kings (rulers - political or otherwise) have little or no regards for genuine priest - because of their sturborn Godly inclination. That is the way the two offices were ordained to function. Hence I submit that the Pastor break ranks in running for office in 2011.

However, I will also deposit that in doing so, he led the way for several credible Nigerians - who had distanced themselves from politics as being a dirty game - meant only for the rogues (to borrow your word) and will not like to associate with rogues. I think the Pastor mortgaged his personal integrity to lead the way in this and it's costing him more than personal integrity, part of the cost to him is the followership of people like you.

However, it should not be so, remember the sayings of Edmund Burke "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". The good men of Nigeria had done nothing for so long and the situation has become so bad that a CONFIRMED upright priest is breaking ranks and seeking the office of king in order to effect a change.

I don't think he has fraternised with the rogues long enough to imbibe their ways. It will be wrong to see him as one - that will be too much a price to pay for leading the way in what we all ought to be doing.

The Pastor should not even have to loose our/your respect and followership. Given a choice between the Pastor and the Rogues in PDP or APC, I will choose the Pastor. Unfortunately that option is not on the table....Nigerians have to choose between the APC or PDP rogues - which mean there is no choice.

Nigeria and Nigerians are in a catch 22 scenario "you do it you are dammed, you don't do it you are dammed" - whichever one we choose we are dammed.

  12. The respected ACN made a huge mistake by merging with the Violent CPC.
I just think the founding fathers of ACN were power drunk and in a haste to take power from the centre(FGN) as a result we now have bunch of ALAKORI PEOPLES CONGRESS(APC).

  13. People are complaining that Nigerian has no progress since 2009. Who are the people responsible for it. Nearly all of them are now in APC. Now i can say I prefer PDP to APC, because the bad in PDP has migrated to APC leaving PDP less political corrupt compared to APC. Please answer this Question. Is APC changing Atiku formal VP 9 yrs, Tinubu 8 yrs Lagos Governor, Buhari, Fani-kayode that selve under PDP, Bukola Saraki 8 yrs Governor under PDP, Amearch etc. it is now that PDP are not go. What happen to the party when they are there. Are Nigerians not complaining. Which one of them have not rig election before. U forget LGA Election in Lagos, The father of Election Rigging in Nigeria - Obasanjo is now there navigator. I pray it is well for Nigerian. 2011 election conducted has received alot of credit both from Nigerian and Abroad. U think if Obasanjo were the president, the South West will have AC state.

  15. What makes a good party? Is it the name or the people in the party?

I think the APC is now populated by former PDP people. All are the same common thieves.

  16. If the 5 governor have looted the money, at least they have something to show for it. I mean they did something people can call achievements in their various states.
Now, what about those that did not stole any money, Bakare should tell us their achievement with the money. Or could it be they kept it for the future? No one can deny it including Bakare himself because he is a testimony of it. After all, he enjoyed good roads and environment.
PLAN without ACTION is a speech. Enough of this speech PDP gives Nigerian year by year without action. Lets allow people with ACTION because they are those with VISION.
Even though they are Satan, they gave hope and benefit the life of Nigerians than the so called angel that destroy the future of Nigerian by offering nothing.
What a budget? 2014 Budget without direction and target. A copy of 2013 budget.
Finally, what differences can Bakare make if he is there?
