Former Head of State, Retired Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct 2015 general elections on the same day.
Buhari gave the advice in Daura, Katsina State, while answering questions from newsmen after he obtained APC membership card.
He said that conducting the elections in one day would help in reducing election malpractice and save cost.
He added that the litigations that trailed the 2003, 2007 and 2011 general elections would be avoided if the elections were held on the same day.
“If all the elections are conducted on the same day, there will be less cases of snatching of ballot boxes and use of political thugs to rig elections,’’ he said.
Buhari, who urged party members to come out en masse and register with the APC, expressed optimism that the opposition party would win the 2015 general elections in the country. (NAN) Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Can someone please help me ask Buhari whether non conduct of elections same day in the past were the reason he failed in the past elections?. Well his advice is best reserved for the dustbin. If he is popular, as he want us to believe, he can win election anyday and anytime! Or is he afraid of losing again for the umpteenth time? The fear of losing again is the beginning of scheming and propaganda abd wiping up sentiment, crying wolves when there is none. If Buhari contest 2015 election, i forsee a landslide win for GEJ.
ReplyDeleteWell that seems possible judging from the party registration in my state anyway we are watching!!
ReplyDeleteWhat happen to the registration in your state?
ReplyDeleteThis man cannot be President of Nigeria...Gosshhh! How can you conduct all elections on same day in a country of 170m people, 774 LGA, over 20 political parties, Poor road network, Impaired logistics delivery systems and faulty telecomms...This is a case of completely out of touch big man.
ReplyDeleteWhat has same day conduct of election got to do with ballot snatching & rigging? If I cannot trust Buharis judgement call on a simple logistics issue like this one...I really regret casting my vote for him in 2003 and 2007.
He may be honest but probably not street wise enough to lead Nigeria.
Is Buhari not even tired of coming to the public to make one comment or the other?
ReplyDeleteBuhari has lost touch with present realities of things in Nigeria. He is living in the past. A player cannot determine the rules of the game. He should not venture to contest election in 2015 or else he will loose.
