Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako is a bitter man. He was angry yesterday on the devastating Boko Haram attacks on defenceless people in the Northeast.
He criticised the activities of securitymen deployed in the states under a state of emergency and called for more proactive measures to stem the tide.
Nyako, a Rear Admiral, said the frustrated people might take to the streets in demonstration.
The governor wondered why soldiers were late in arriving at scenes of incidents.
He said: “In Buni-Yadi, Yobe State, the soldiers withdrew from checkpoint hours to the attack. Who ordered the withdrawal? In Shuwa and Michika, soldiers withdrew, shortly after that Boko Haram attacked, who ordered the withdrawals”?
“We also have the case of Gen. Mohammed Shuwa (who was killed) in Maiduguri by the so-called Boko Haram. There is an army unit there, but they didn’t respond during the attack. Who told them not to respond?
“The Air Force base was raided in Maiduguri. There was a military base nearby; who gave the base the order not to respond during the raid on the Air Force base?

ReplyDeleteFor long we the. Northerners have concluded something is tansfiring between the. Owners of this programme and our security agents. Our people cooperated work with Government, how many Islamic scholars, traditional rulers and common people were killed? These people are not hiden. They living and operating in Nigeria. The vehicles and other equipmens proved that. The weapons they are having. Initially consignments of Arsenal were caught at airports and seaports, nothing was said to us about why they were consigned into Nigeria. The situation for long was enough for the Govt to declare war against the people, but only some soldiers and AK 47 were always deployed. Where are all the war planes and sophisticated weapons? It means we are not citzenary enough to use them for the protection of our lives and properties?

I have said it times without number that the best solution to this problem is for every Nigerian to be given the right to harm and defend his or herself since it is quite obvious the government can't do that. If everybody is wasted, let's see those our so-called leaders will rule over. If anyone coming to attack you knows that you are armed, he will give it a second thought. This government should wake up or step aside for more capable hands to take charge. These are human lives for crying out loud! It could have happened to anybody.

They are benefitting as a peaceful and united north is against the president's 2015 ambition. The governor raised serious issues here so don't deviate the topic. Buhari is not in a position to order the military to withdraw while citizens are being massacred- GEJ is. Watch out as the blood of innocents is capable of postponing 2015 and the entire demon crazy that has robbed us of pur security and peace.

ReplyDeleteAs you continue to accuse GEJ of not doing anything to stop what is happening in the north let us not forget that some of the northern states have shed a lot blood of the non-indigene in one crises or the other and nobody came out from the area to condemn it . Is the Boko Haram from the moon? I think what we need here is prayer for God`s forgiveness and mercy .
