Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State Friday escaped death by the whiskers when he was attacked by gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect at Shuwa, Madagali local government area of the state.
Madagali has witnessed series of terrorists attacks recently and the governor had gone to the area to commiserate with the people when unknown gunmen fired gunshots into the air as the governor was addressing the people.
Eyewitness account said that moments after the Governor had received the microphone to address the people, two gunmen in military uniform emerged from the crowd and shot thrice into the air.
According to the eyewitness, before then people have started shouting ; They are coming! They are coming!! They are coming!!! referring to the Boko Haram insurgents.

He shud fly down to Port Harcourt and report to his rebel leader Amaechi. The time he wud have used to brainstorm on how best to tackle these challenges he was busy decamping and NGFing. It's only the defenseless masses I feel for.

ReplyDeleteMr Governor please spend some of your security vote to hire professionals to provide security for you and the people of your state.
ReplyDeleteIdeally, your security shield should include a visible and invisible cordon using snipers at least 1500m around the area the governor was addressing people.
There should have been a counter assault team on standby. One team would have evacuated the VIP, another for counter assault, another for backup.
Stop taking your security vote to Barclay's and spend some of it to secure your state. Safety is of God above all.
This information should have been corrected as it was a false alarm raised by people who thought that soldiers driving into town where Boko haram
