26 Kano lawmakers dump PDP for APC

26 members of Kano State House of Assembly on Monday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The House has 31 members and with the defection of the 26 lawmakers to the APC, the PDP now has only five members in the Assembly.

The Speaker of the House Alhaji Gambo Sallau and three other members were absent during the 26 lawmakers declaration of allegiance for the APC.

However, a member of the House, representing Bagwai/Shanono constituency, Alhaji Lawan Safyanu Gogori, decided to remain in the PDP.

With this development, the APC is now in control of the House.

  1. Nigerianeye your story is not complete and stop being pro apc and one sided in your write ups. the speaker in question has resigned from the house saying that he was not commfortable with the decamping of other lawmakers to apc as it was against his principles. Please state the story as it is and stop removing or adding to it in order for the story to sound sweet and in support of apc. Nigerians are way wiser and can see what you are trying to do but you cannot hoodwink us into voting in the same rogues who have plundered our collective resources for years past> they are still thieves just in different clothing.

  3. There is need for Nigerians to be objective in our write ups on the Net. Nigerianeye has not written any information contrary to what actually happened in Kano house of assembly as you can see what was reported about the stand of the speaker. Because yoiu are sympathetic to the cause of Jonathan does not mean that you should disparage Nigerianeye which is always objective in their reporting.
