“Our Government has taken a cue, and pursued a fair and involved policy of education for all, and we have intensified this effort over the last many months. We also enacted the local government act 2 years ago to encourage women to participate in local politics, and we have gone from 14th position to 6th position in local government participation among the 15 SADEC countries”, she said.
Minister Martin also requested for Zuriel to spend more time in Mauritius to meet with many students across the country to share the versatile and exciting story, of her accomplishments so far.
As part of her mission of sensitizing African leaders on the need to create the same opportunities for Africa’s Girls as Boys on primary, secondary and possibly also tertiary education, Zuriel Oduwolehas met and interviewed [8] African Presidents & [1] African Prime Minister on this issue.
