MORE LIES, DECEITS AND FALSENESS: How Stella Oduah fooled Nigeria’s senate on her qualifications

Less than 48 hours after Saharareporters punctured Princess Stella Oduah’s claim that she obtained an MBA in a defunct American University, Premiumtimes, has gone a step further to show that Nigerian minister of aviation may also have embellished the CV she submitted to the Senate to get cleared as a minister, about two and half years ago.
DECEITS

Premiumstimes reported today that the American National Centre for Education Statistics has said that the Pacific Christian University, Glendale, which Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, claimed awarded her a doctorate degree, does not exist.

This denial, Premiumtimes said confirmed its earlier story that the minister’s purported honorary Ph.D is fake.

The National Centre for Education Statistics is an agency under the U.S. Department of Education, said the news portal.

“Responding to a PREMIUM TIMES’ inquiry, the spokesperson for the agency, which maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date database of all American public and private educational institutions, said, “Thank you for your inquiry. I do not see a university in our database that is Pacific Christian University in Glendale”.

“She however suggested that the closest to Pacific Christian University in the database might be Hope International University in Fullerton which she believed used to be known as Pacific Christian College.
Contacted, Every Delarosa of the registrar’s office at Hope International University confirmed that the institution used to be known as Pacific Christian College and not Pacific Christian University as Mrs. Oduah indicated in her resume.

“Even at that, Ms. Delarosa insisted Mrs. Oduah could not be referring to Hope University because the institution changed its name from Pacific Christian College in 1997 while Mrs Oduah claimed she was awarded a doctorate in Business Administration 1998.

“The Hope University official also explained that the institution, even when it was known as Pacific Christian College, had never had a campus in Glendale. She said the university was based in Long Beach city at the time.

“We do not have any records of any candidate by the name Stella Oduah or related names,” Ms. Delarosa said, after pouring through the university record. “Whether now that we are Hope University and in the past when we were Pacific Christian College, we did not give any such person a degree here.”

  2. Leave this woman alone? What a pitiful comment. Beautiful minister? What a nonsense! This woman by all indications is part of the problem that we have in this country. Corruption, corruption, corruption! If Stella Odua is allowed to retain her ministerial post, nobody should vote for Jonathan for another term. If we vote for him, then let's stop complaining about corruption in Nigeria. Stella's time is up, and she needs to take the exit!

  3. Another junk journalism masterminded by crack Fani kayode on the loose. So, what degrees Dr. Bola Tinubu has? Which secondary school did he attend and what university he graduated from?

  4. This is an attack too many. It is suggestive of tribal wickedness. In terms of her job as aviation minister, she has done well. In terms of corruption, all politicians and their cohorts are corrupt. When you perform well, we can endure your corruption. Tell me, is there any governor that is not corrupt, but we endure them on the basis of performance. All what they call corruption is the armoured cars she purchased for her ministry. What of those who pocketed the cash. Pse give her a breathing space to do her job as the many sponsored attacks are making us to sympathize with her.

    1. Mr Nwachukwu am ibo but do not subscribe to what is wrong. Referring to stealing as being sharp doesn't make it less of stealing. People like you keep encouraging evil under the guise of tribalism. If u claim its an affront against the ibos tell me how united are the ibos within d southeast? If that love truly exists then we as a tribe should have become like the tower of babel. Yet we hear of the d scuffles btwn rochas and theodore. So my man there's nothing tribalistic here. We shouted when tafa balogun was exposed. We shouted when farouk was culpable. Same for dimeji bankole, dieprieye, the toronto man, the pension thief and so on.We made and make noise when any public officer was /is said to be fraudulent. So I urge u as NWA CHUKWU,stand for what is right before God and man and not tribal sentiments.

  9. To suggest leaving the minister alone is to show a very high level of corruptness and Indiscretion. No stone should be left unturned. She is just one of millions, there was Tinibu and the Toronto stories and many still kept in the hiding.

Our government is a blind one. Such case as surrounding the minister was supposed to have precipitated her dismissal a long time. If she is an honorable woman and armed with wisdom she should resign because she failed us. The is an eye opener....many other politicians are involved and it's high time they are apprehended once and for all.

  10. Politcs is indeed a dirty game, what a shameful secret! she should just resign before other shameful secrets of her life is exposed.

  11. If it is true that this lady does not possess the qualifications she claimed on her CV, then she is a big fraud and ought to be dismissed and prosecuted just like one time speaker Buhari was.
