I as one of your numerous reader doesn't celebrate jan 1st. It is a celebration of idol that is neither xtainic, islamic nor traditional to our African culture. Pls look for the meaning and origin of jan first b4 anybody crucify me here.
ReplyDeleteIt is not idolatry in any form. It is being happy that you are a survival through all that would have cause your death or disfigure you or all odds of the past year. Crossing over to a new year is a thing of joy to all right thinking individual. I could cross over to a new year not by my power but by the power of God, I am happy with God and I celebrate, nothing idolatory in that, nothing religious.
ReplyDeleteUnto the pure, all things are pure and unto the corrupt al things are corrupt- Tit 1:12-16. There's only one God, the Father and only one Lord, his son Jesus- 1Corr 8:4-6. They created the days, they are God and Lord of the days of the year- Lk10:1-22, Mk2:27-28, Col 2:8-10. Choose ye 2day whom u shall celebrate new yr for, as for me and my family, i will celebrate it for God & his Son Jesus Christ and for the renewal of the Gift of the Holyghost in his Church-Josh 24:15:

Why are some people reading meaning to any festive moment? Which idol are we celebrating? Every idol has its own name...please tell us the name of the idol. People gather in the church and call the name of God while going into another year, do you now call God almighty an idol?
ReplyDeleteYou're simply an ignorant man.
