In what is brewing up as a war of Nigeria's "Top financial madams" Mrs Oby Ezekwesili tweeted at the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala seeking to know what happened to the $10billion missing from the NNPC account.
It can be recalled that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation last week gave details of the contentious $10.8 billion crude oil fund, saying the money was not missing.
The amount is part of the $49.8 billion alleged to have been unremitted to the Federation Account by the NNPC.
Mr Bernad Otti, the Group Executive Director, Finance and Accounts Directorate of NNPC, at a press briefing in Abuja declared that “the $10.8 billion, which is currently the subject of ongoing inter-agency reconciliation exercise is not missing.”
“The sum in question has been expenditures incurred as part of statutory responsibilities, which the NNPC, as the national oil company, executes on behalf of the Federal Government,” he said.

Let OBJ , his children , friends go hell. No space for all of you in the New PDP. You can see that the corrupt group are gradually moving away to APC. Ladies and Gents. vote wisely.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how cleverly done, accounting fraud is always detected except the auditors are dull, lazy or compromised. The Nigerian woman is a Nigerian. I hope from now ppl will see that the average Nigerian woman is a worse criminal like the men folks if they set their minds to it. Patricia Etteh, Iyabo Obasanjo,Diezani Madueke, Stella Oduah, to mention but a few. O what a shame !
ReplyDeleteEven okonjo iweala has joined d list.... God have mercy......
ReplyDeleteEzekwesili is above board so please Anon1 watch your language. Don't make stupid accusations
ReplyDeleteYou should not point accussing fingers if only you know what it means to serve and take instructions from your boss in office. And you can' t do anything when you are in office. So keep waiting for Okonji Iweala to explain what happened to the money. All this cash they throw away at every functions etc is it from my account they spend the money or the Reps are not aware that all this there committee visits to NNPC and co cost the nation so much. Wake up dude
ReplyDeleteI believe that accusations are made to correct unknown errors or unforeseen tricks played my experts. Oby is accusing ngozi because of the figure she read on paper or hear say. I don't think accountability exist in this Country. Ngozi know what comes to her table. So this statement might help to get facts from NNPC which is the most corrupt commission in Nigeria. A politician and a reputable international office holder cannot say what she think that will raise dust on the face of Nigeria account.
