The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is attempting to divide Nigeria along religious lines.
It accused the opposition of religious bias.
The ruling party alleged that the APC was planning to impose Islam on the country.
A statement yesterday by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, alleged that the opposition was causing religious divisions and violence across the country.
The statement reads: “This revelation, which came even from Muslims, goes to vindicate the PDP and confirm our earlier stand that the APC is a party of bloodthirsty, religious and ethnic bigots (who are) averse to the unity of the country and the peaceful co-existence of our people…” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Is PDP not dividng people along ethnic and religious lines? what is happening in Rivers state? what of the way the Yorubas re sideined in GEJ's government after they were the ones that fought for his liberation from the hands of Yardua's men? We know how and who to vote next year!
ReplyDeleteA party that all its national leaders are muslims leaves much to be desired in a secular society like ours. let them hold their national congress and elect their leaders then we will know where to truly place them. APC for me is not yet ready to rule Nigeria. If they are able to stay together as a party beyond 2015 and develop a tangible ideology then maybe in the nearest future the can lead. For now the devil we know is far better than the angel we do not know at all
ReplyDeleteMetuh you are a big liar. Its PDP that is polarizing this country. Nigerians have all seen the evidence that your oga is training snipers. Seven of them were arrested with AK 47s near Port Harcourt and the next day they bombed two courtrooms because the judge didnt dance to their tune.
ReplyDeleteNigeria is a mixed country, they should mix their party with different religions and ethnic groups to make it attractive. We need natural leaders that are not religious bias, we need natural leaders for all Nigerians, leaders that can unite Nigeria stop the violence and corruption everywhere which are our only challenge for growth now.
