Popular female comedian, Princess and husband seperate after 7 months of marriage

The seven-month union between ace female humour merchant, Oluwadamilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, and Adeshola Jeremiah has crashed as the chubby comedian said they split due to “irreconcilable differences”.

It was learnt that the marriage had not been a bed of roses as both parties had been having incessant fights, which necessitated family and friends intervening on several occasions.

Princess, a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, got married on May 8, 2013. She earlier confirmed the split to NE at comedy show which took place recently at Muson Centre.

Princess said, “It is true, my marriage has ended. We got married in May. We tried to work it out but we couldn’t.

“It happened a while ago. It is not easy for a marriage to end. All the excitement of marriage has passed. We wanted to keep it out of the public for a while.”

She continued “People have been calling me since. I opened up about this at an event yesterday. It wasn’t a case of domestic abuse. We just had irreconcilable differences. Nobody wants her marriage to crash. I am the one in the spotlight, I didn’t think it was a news I should broadcast. But eventually, I had to open up. God knows best, He would strengthen me. It is better to try than not to try at all.

“Now, I even use it as a joke. People who call me should also tell me they have a job for me and not to call me and cry and ask how it happened.”

The news from the stables of the humour merchant is coming barely days to the New Year.

A few days to her wedding, the happy and proud bride had written on one of her social media accounts that her hubby was coming to wipe off the shame of her life.

  10. Making choices of marriage partner can make or mar someones destiny. That is Why before one makes choice, one ought to pray ernestily to God for devine direction. One should also bear in mind that there is no Mr nor Mrs right.
Every marriage has its own peculiar challenges but the ability of the couples to summount the challenges makes them wonderful managers.
It is a pity that several marriages are crashing these days beacause there is no agape love (God's kind of Love). Any marriage built on only erotic love will definitely crash because it will fade like flowers in the field. When erotic love fails it is agape love that sustains the marriage.
To couples who are married please learn to cultivate the spirit of agape love.
    -forgive each other
    -bear each other's burden
-be kind to your partiner even when he or she has offended you, but let him or her know he has offended you.
    Be open to each other.
Show me couples whoes marriage is intact and and I will show you man and woman who are the most honourable in the society.
    Divorce is dishonourable.

  13. Mal 2:16
16 "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
    (NIV)

    Matt 5:31-32
31 "It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.'
32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
    (NIV)

    Matt 19:3-11
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?"
4 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'
5 and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?
6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
7 "Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"
8 Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
10 The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry."
11 Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.
    (NIV)
