South Africa on Tuesday witnessed arguably the largest influx of world leaders and celebrities in a day as they all gathered at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg to pay their last respects to the late anti-apartheid hero who died last Thursday at age 95.
91 serving leaders, including President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria, and members of royal families, and 10 former heads of state were all present at the memorial for the former South African president.

What was Mugabe doing there?
ReplyDeleteHis burial was likened to when the late Catholic Pontiff, Blessed Pope JohnPaul was buried where uncountable world leaders attended the funeral. Are the present leaders learning lessons from this event? How will they be recognised after their service to the people? Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, big daddy will be laughing and so happy in Heaven now... till we meet again daddy, enjoy . . . . .
ReplyDelete@ No1 anonymous. Mugabe is far more better than many presidents. Go to Zimbabwe and find out from Zimbabwean then you have a better understanding that the man is loved and voted by his people. He is never a dull man; he is never a puppet, he is never a pushover president.
ReplyDeleteYou better check your home clearly before going to market.
I am quite disappointed to see this African newspaper missing out the presence of any Algerian VIP at the memorial service.
