The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, at a briefing on Monday praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the poll.
Deploring calls by some candidates for the cancellation of the result, Metuh said those calling for the cancellation have displayed poor sportsmanship, adding that the PDP has faith in the electoral process.
He accused opposition parties of attempts to blackmail the INEC with the view to discrediting the election.
According to him, the opposition parties want to create hopelessness in the minds of the Anambra people.
The party called on the INEC to address genuine grievances arising from the conduct of the poll, saying that the people are waiting for the electoral body to fix a date for the completion of the election in the interest of the people.
Metuh said late preparation by the PDP affected the party’s candidate chances in the election, saying that the situation would have been different if the party had commenced its campaign early enough. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Olisa metuh is a big fool and incompetent person.that nonsensical statement coming from your mouth after your party candidate passed vote of no confidence and that charde called "anambra governship election".we nigerians know what exist beneath the facade of taking sides with INEC.Your problem is simply ngige and APC.if by chance ngige wins the election,that will be precursor to apc's dream of having a stronghold in the south-east.that will definitely spell doom for pdp and their 2015 ambition.come 2015 you will meet the nigerian populace there and GOD help you because your aspirations will be exercise in futility.PDP is doomed!!!!! Doomed? Yes because even the holy bible says A divided house can't stand talkless of the so called biggest party in africa.TOUCHE!!!

ReplyDeleteUnknown Nwoye, PDP b4 the election signed an agreement with APGA. JEGA and security agents were instructed by the presidency to make sure APC is frustrated, and APGA to win no matter what it takes. Security agents started their part of the plan by announcing the arrest of APC importes thugs: This is deal: Obiano will decamp to PDP once he is sworn in. We all know that peter obi is PDP by heart.
