IN PICTURES: Police disrupt rebel governors’ meeting, hold them hostage for hours


According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the DPO of Asokoro police division, CSP Nnanna Ama, invaded the meeting of the G7 governors at the Kano government lodge in Asokoro, Abuja yesterday.

 Those at the meeting were Rabiu Kwakwanso(Kano), Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Aliyu Babangida (Niger), and Murtala Nyako (Adamawa).

Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara) and Aliyu Wamakko(Sokoto) were not at the meeting.




It was later gathered that when the siege was over, the governors were dispersed.

  3. The DPO should be posted to BH state where he will be more effective. Nigerian security cant detect when arnmed robbers, Bh, 419 ners , kidnappers etc are holding meeting but can only monitor opposition/G7 governors.

  4. I watched your link and was still waiting for the disgrace and behold the video ended. So was the disgrace in part 2 of the video?. Or when a Police officer is civil in approach, is that what you call disgrace?. I see you to be one of the sympathisers of the rebel governors who think that can deceive majority of Nigerians in their quest for the fulfilment of their selfish and personnal desires!. We respect GEJ for not deing a dictator and allowing democracy to strive but all opposition activities must be done under the confine of the law!.

  5. As far as I'm concerned, there is freedom of association which every human is entitled, the G7 inclusive. Nobody should be deprived of this freedom. Shikena!
