Four family members killed in fresh Plateau crisis

Four members of a family were killed and two others seriously wounded when some gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, invaded Rantis village near Kurra Falls in Barakin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Our correspondent gathered that the gunmen invaded the village around 7pm on Monday, killing four members of Mr. Joil Pam’s family.
Among those killed were Joil Pam, his wife, Jemimah, a four-year old and Gepter, 2. Those injured were Susanna and Alfa, and are said to be receiving treatment at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos, and Barakin Ladi General Hospital.
It was gathered that the victims were buried on Tuesday.
Spokesman for the Special Task Force, Capt. Salisu Mustapha, who confirmed the incident, said security had been heightened in the area by men of the task force.
